Thank you for the great ideas! For over 35 years I've kept an excel spreadsheet for ALL the necessary items my husband and I need when we travel; including small items like nail clippers. That list has morphed over the years, but has been a life-saver so I don't have to re-think what to bring on each trip. Certain toiletry items remain packed/ready at a moment's notice. I have two capsule wardrobe spreadsheets: black & navy based outfits with red for a pop of color. They both adhere to the 54321 packing strategy. Obviously, weather determines exactly what I take, but just having the list for reference is a HUGE help. I also do a practice pack a couple days in advance providing time to tweak space in my carry-on if needed.
My husband and I just got back from a month in the UK and EU and we packed no toiletries we bought them the day we arrived in London and they lasted the whole trip.
Totally agree about creating a basic packing list including clothes, electronics, medications etc. For some reason I would forget my pajamas but using my list means they are with me and not left at home lol. Actually now I carry them plus a change of underwear and an extra top in my personal item, just in case !
I was excited thinking you would say that bag ALSO turned backpack 🎒 😢 but didn't. Anyhoo my ENTIRE wardrobe is meeeeh 😂😂😂😂 I do have "travel cloths" 🙃
Even if I expected my accommodation to have shampoo and body wash or soap, I would definitely still bring conditioner. Can't get a comb through my hair without it!
I am guilty of last-minute packing. I love your tip about sticking to a specific color palette. It definitely makes it easier to mix and match. On another note, RU-vid unsubscribed me from your channel.
Nice to see Bagsmart gaining traction. I have had 2 bags by them and love them all. I have a multifunction backpack that opens like a suitcase with lots of pockets and organization and a laptop bag for my work travels that fits everything nicely.
You read my mind!! I'm coming over to the US in a few weeks and was just thinking I need to reduce my ever growing packing list. 🙂 Thanks for brilliant timing!
I’m a resort and cruise lady. For resorts caftans and bathing suits two dresses. Cruise packing is different. My checked suitcase finally made it home after 3 weeks. Still not sold on carry only. Bugs‼️‼️‼️😊
I have travel only sets of clothes. They get washed and packed inside the suitcase. Which specific items go on a trip depend on weather, time of year and activities.
Love your videos, especially the capsule wardrobe ones-your style is great! We are about the same height; how do you lift your carry on up to the overhead bin? That's one of my biggest concerns when flying.
Honestly if I can check my bag for free, either at the gate or before, that's what I try to do. Otherwise I usually have to ask someone around me if they can help me get my bag in the bin. Short girl problems, LOL!! I've never had anyone not offer to help or be rude...and I of course thank them profusely 😊
I have a generic every trip list for starting point. Since we travel to warm climates a lot, I created a generic warm climate list with items are forgotten for these trips (chair clips, hand fans, travel adapter, extension cord, Turkish towel…)
Thank you for all your tips. I have started keeping all checklists on my iPhone. I also have a spreadsheet for clothing where I weigh everything so I know what my total weight will be. I like your questions to consider for the clothes to consider packing.
We travel a lot, mostly by car, but we're flying to Aruba in November 2024 and staying a week (for my 61st birthday). I'm tweaking my list to downsize some items. Though my husband just said this morning that he got the AA card (with whom we're flying) and he gets a checked bag for free so ... We have a five hour layover in Miami and I'm hoping this means I'll just have a backpack to carry around the airport. 🎉😂❤😊
What a fun trip, aside from the long layover... I agree only having to manage a backpack during a layover is the best!! Hope you have a fantastic birthday trip 😊
Another great video as I’m leaving for Mass from Ak in sept. Considering the mereno wool jacket. I went through clothes and got ready to pack but now am thinking I should go through again.
Looking forward to the 3x3x3 packing my travel agent told me about it and I’ve seen a young woman do it , but would like to see a woman more my age to do it. I only own 100 items including underwear and shoes so everything I own is a yes as I live in a motor home
I’m currently letting my hair go to natural color (not sure what it will be). I love your color, would you let me know what hair products you use? Thank you for all the content you provide for us!
I went traveling for 3 weeks to Australia and Singapore. I couldve saved so much space and weight by not taking shampoo and conditioner as every place had it.
I have a list with medicine and cosmetics that I use when I travel and according the weather I see what I take but my big list is with medicine because I feel afraid I do not find or are with prescription.😂
Nice video! My only suggestion is to look at your viewers in the eye- don’t look up and from side to side constantly. In real life when someone does this I don’t trust them. Could be because you’re uncomfortable, but it can also mean a person is being dishonest. But glad I found your channel.
@LisaNix2 But that's also what people do when they're thinking about something, and when you're talking to someone you're thinking about what you're going to say before you say it. I don't know many people that can keep sustained eye contact for the entire time they're talking, and if they do, it's very intense 😅 Seemed like the right amount of eye contact to me
@@frangipanisandgirlthis. Looking away for a split-second as she does indicates thought/thinking about what’s next. Always staring ahead or too much eye contact is creepy.
Watch your own video to see how often you look to the left during your discussion . I never noticed until someone pointed it out . Now I find it disconcerting.
