The problem with these neat folding methods is that you are making the folds always in the same place. After some foldings, the cloth develops creases in those places. For myself, I just grab the leading edge as softly as possible, I fold the rest in a fluffy way and the sausage bag takes care of the rest. The last care is folding in three, so that the front, middle and rear rods are as flat as possible. This is way faster (2 minutes) and the final volume is as good as this.

That's one tighty pack! I have come close to that but everyone was waiting to go for a beer and I'm like "I want to 'loft' my wing !" even though it'll be back out tomorrow lol
there is no way my glider go so small, but I have mylar style still, can put in my Cbag and it goes smaller in the end, plus the packing place is perfect, usually not the case in the wild!...nicely done
Why are you folding both sides again each other to the front? This bends the middle rods… Just put both sides on top of each other without folding. (Turn one side to the bottom and just lay the other one on top). This way nothing gets bend and all rods are next to each other on one single bundle.
Now the result of this packing that top leading edge is exposed so porosity level will suffer. All leading edges must be collected paralel (not half and half) and taken sideways what makes outer cells on top and bottom. Same way as a new glider delivered. The folding method of course shouldn 't be neat, precise like this. If you can store your glider in a rounded fastpack on the top of wardrobe is the best. Compressing gliders for Xalps is essential or maybe for the time of transportation but any other case not.
Onwards from here 1:27 it is better to grab a centre rod and thén grab a rod from the other half, and alternate that until it's all is piled up 'zigzag-style'. It is an easier way, especially when there is a breeze as you're piling everything up in one go. The result of your method looks neat though, I must say! Best, Rob ^^

i wouldn't have folded the leading edge in at last moment, should have just carried on folding allowing the internals to breathe from the cells, not the fabric,, plus the fabric on that last bend was soo tight, no need

yep, exactly, the video starts promising but then you notice what happens to the middle cell and then you know something is off with this method :) Ever since I've learnt packing from GIN guy from this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KAh5vIb8Jsc.html, I've packed my glider using his technique. To me it looks like the best method without using a concentrina bag.
I thought it was a very respectable folding job less that one center rod "see 6:13". Other then keeping the rods as one continuous flat bunch I think it was good and not much more could be better. Anyone that has a better way should post a link to their/that vid. Cheers, Patrick
