I am not one to EVER post comments on RU-vid videos but I was compelled to tell you that this video is by far the BEST "How to" item specific tutorial I have seen. I do custom acrylic artwork and I am consistently having to learn new techniques in each painting I do according to my customers specific wants in their custom orders. You Tube has been so helpful to me in aiding my ability to make their visions come alive on canvas & custom skateboards. I wish every tutorial on item specific painting techniques was as great as this one. Good job MuralJoe!!!! Thank you;)
Mural Joe, this is great. I learned pine tree painting from you and I have had success on three different projects with pine branches. Your lessons are good!
Its great to see you painting canvas size pictures, you've been one of the major influences in my life and In just about to complete my firs full painting, thanks joe
Again, my second Mural Joe tutorial! Wow! You're teaching me how to use the same brush, different ways! I love the explanations! I want your artistic tips to stick in my head! Will just have to keep reviewing these tutorials! Thanks.
Totally beautiful! Such detail! I stumbled on this video because I love seeing big waves from a safe distance, but this artist spends so much time and effort on his painting - the foreground looks so realistic.
I pretty liked your tutorial and it was a lot of fun watching it. Of course I learned a lot about technical aspects to take in count when painting waves. Really good one. Keep up with the excellent work.
This is the first time (out of too many to name) that I have understood & grasped this concept of painting a wave! I've been trying to figure it out for over a year! Thank you so much for posting this!
You're amazing Joe, you seem to have a photographic memory, remembering what a breaking wave really looks like in your head and then going from it, back and forth to the painting to get it how you already see it in your mind. (Just in case you didn't know, that's quite a superpower!)
Love your detailed demonstrations of how to paint waves! I'm studying how to paint waves and water so the current WIP, a beach scene, will come out looking good. Really glad I found your channel!
Lorraine: Wow! You're an awesome painter! I love the way that you explain what you're doing. It all makes sense as the painting comes together. Great video! Thank you so much!
I've been watching your tutorials lately, and I cannot hold my impression. you're a TALENTED PAINTER. I love painting too. Your style is AMAZING! Regards..!
I just started painting again only with acrylics this time. I used to paint many years ago but I lost interest and gave it up. I find your tutorials informative and educational. You go slow enough that a beginner like me can learn how to paint.
Amazing... you do a perfect job explaining, don't worry... just purchased the painting.. your awesome I live all your videos! Keep up the good work and thanks for all the great tips! Your the reason I am reluctant to call myself an artist... lol... truly a fan!
I'm just learning waves by watching you. You are the best at waves and love your style of teaching. I've not been happy with mine. You're a Angle! Thank you Ms. V
Really good work. I see now it takes stamina as well as exact coordinated hand and brain work. Really exhausting for the novice. Congratulations on your mastery.Great painting.
WOW!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH For Sharing your Wonderful Talent AND Techniques!!! I’m SOOOOO INSPIRED by YOU!!! Your GOD GIVEN TALENT is AMAZING!!!!! AND Your Selfless and Genuine Way about you to share your talent is VERY MUCH appreciated, by ME and I’m Sure, MANY OTHERS!!! GOD BLESS YOU MURAL MIKE!!! You Spread MUCH Joy!!!
Wooow.... enjoyed your painting to the maximum..... now I know that I am going watch the same video everyday.....that much I liked it..... Kudos my dear Artist..... I would say Fabulous....Fantastic.....First-rate
What I honestly enjoy Joe is your subtle aim of teaching organic forms and shapes vs techniques. I most certainly enjoy your courage and boldness with colors (Stellar Nova mural on black). I also love how your "teaching voice" lifts me up with tenderness and respect. 💜
Just got back from Galveston, whereI learned a lot about the shapes of waves and flatter areas of the water with colored pencil, of all things. I knew painting this would be closer to what I was seeing, and then saw you doing what I very much wanted to do. Your effort was sooo good and you made comments that were very helpful. Thank you for sharing all you did. I was in Galveston as you were in the process! Thanks so much!!!
Painting has always been my great weakness in art and this helps a lot, especially because I working on a coastal scene at the moment and alone the way you are painting water really goes with the style and direction I want to work in.
Nice impression with a great life look, love the reflections. very nice I may do some wave action as I spend a good deal of my life surfing; I just have been doing most anything that makes a picture of late but I really like your video will watch again for sure.
Wow I like so much it was so fabulous I want to repeat it again and again thank You RU-vid for giving me such a big opportunity everyone I suppose had liked all the videos it was so amazing
Love how you do the inside of the waves just like I used to see when swimming in Montauk. My how you have grown since I first discovered you way back when. It's 2021 when I posted this.
