I gessoed twice with black gesso. No sanding. If you’re going to sand, do it outside with a mask like N 95. Thanks, lots of practice and play for the clouds.
Do you have a video talking about which colors you used for the pallete and how much you desaturated to get this blue and how you created the background?
I don’t have a video for that. I used a black gessoed canvas, thin coat of Prussian blue and midnight black on the corners. There is no desaturation going on, use the blue and black sparingly. Every time you add white, start where you want the focus to be and work outwards.
The background is gessoed black. Then, I've applied midnight black and prussian blue. Then started highlighting with titanium white. I never do a full length video here on youtube. It's done wet on wet.
