I love the way you put two colours on back and front of the brush. excellent work. I am a beginner and am picking up bits and pieces from the internet. Very helpful. Thank you.
Been watching several videos but i find your work and style more lovely! Since then, I constantly watch your videos and i am learning more and more now. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Mr Len, I learned a lot, not just by this video but by each and every video in your channel. Also every detail you explain throughout is so informative. All the techniques shown are of great help. Really looking forward to seeing you paint. Thank You !
I like this one a lot..one of my favs because I feel like Len slowed this one down a bit and spent some extra time on the fine details which really made a huge impact on this one. We could probably take things much further. For me, I like to spend a lot of time and get extremely detailed, even unnecessarily so just for practice sake. I try to jam pack these studies to the hilt as to save on canvas and supplies. A tip..I reuse canvas (and frames) by painting a layer or 2 of Gesso over these when I am finished and I can use the same stretched canvas frame over and over and over (When learning, practicing or experimenting only!). Also, Beginners-If you invest in say a few Value Packs of Pre-stretched and Gessoed Canvas in a few different sizes, you can buy unstretched canvas at a very cheap price and once you have used and reused your canvas and need to replace it, do not throw out the frame. Simply re-canvas your store bought frames. It costs pennies per painting by doing it this way. Generally-for reg. daily practice I use 8x10 up to 18x24. However- I work all the way up to 9x6 Foot paintings but I make those frames custom.
I've had a task at school to paint something from the country and it has to have a river, I found your video and I whooped with joy. Thank you very much😅
I really like your style .. Love the loading your brush always with light and darks. Great results. And effects.. Your vibrant color mixing makes up for lack of structiral detail. The colors are really showing detail ! Really cool concept.. Also like the idea of hanging the liner brush upside down. I'm gonna give that a shot right now. And the 2 love birds sitting on the river watching the day pass by is definitely the finishing touch.. Great job!!
Wow. That explains a lot. Thank you. It was fun to watch! Even shown me some concepts that I never thought about in photoshop. (I also work with digital.) I've never thought of using multiple tones for brush strokes, or under colors. May take more patience digitally, but this taught me a bit.
Hi Len, It is very beauiful painting and a very informative lesson on how to do it. Thank you very much for sharing your talent and experience with us.
Len, your skills are amazing! Your work is perfect! I admire your pictures and try to paint but my work is a poor imitation, of course! Thank you very much for your lessons.

Hi!!! Mr Hend, what a beautiful talent you have, you are my favorite, you inpirite me every time I see you painting loose and simple but deep paintings with a limited colors. my son ask me if I can paint a black and white paint for him, and he send me a link for one of your lessons in 2 colors, he ask me do you know this guy, I answer "oh sure sunny he is my boyfriend, he is my favorite.💙💙 one questionfor you Mr Bob ross learn from you? did you teaches him?
+Bertha Velasquez Bob Ross started painting on TV with an afro haircut about 2 years after I was painting in shopping centers with an afro haircut and selling my 6 painting lessons on VHS video - Bob like every other artist including myself would have learnt from everything that was useful - I don't know for sure if he knew of me - cheers
Nice man, I like your style.. Just found you today, Started painting a few months ago with online teachers. Gonna subscribe and do some painting with you..
Sorry I missed your comment - watercolor paper is porous and will dry your paint too fast, you will not be able to blend, you need a non porous surface so the paint dries slowly.
Hi!! Sir Len, you´re an amazing artist and thanks for share your method with us. I would like to know if this paint was made in paper or canvas, because it look likes paper but I am not sure. I don´t know if you told it in the video because my listening in English language is not very good yet, hehe... Have a nice day from Spain!!

Hi Len, I have recently discovered you on RU-vid and am so excited ! You are really easy to follow and you make the painting seem so easy that even I can follow it!!! I love the way that you name all the colours that you use so that I can prepare myself and have all equipment at hand . Do you have a painting that I can follow using black gesso as the primer ? I recently bought some black gesso but am not sure what kind of paintings I can use it for. Once again thanks for all the tips and techniques !
+Maria Moss Hi Maria - thanks for the kind comments - I have never used gesso - if it is just thick black paint and you paint your picture over it after it dries then you could paint any of my lessons over it - cheers
Hi, Len. I too have just discovered you (today). Maria Moss said what I was thinking. My problem is mixing colours too, but you have it covered. Also, I love how you put in just the right amount of detail (a tree looks like a tree - not just a blob of paint). Love your style, and I know I will feel safe following your instruction. I was ready to give up after seven months and many hours a week. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to my first lesson with you.
