How to Paint Beach Huts at Dawn in Watercolour 

Seeing my painting on here amongst all these wonderful interpretations is such a proud moment. For years I was afraid to show my paintings to others but this channel and Pauls advice has given me confidence to share what i create. I'm so great full for that.

Am I the only one that is a little weepy? Seeing all the wonderful submissions to the sound of that music and ending with Joanna Zhou's painting was such a treat and in itself so creative. Thank you Paul for showcasing these paintings and for being such a selfless teacher.

I was so happy to have been chosen as runner up. Thank you for everything Paul! Really love your version and so many of the others that were submitted. Everyone approaches painting slightly differently and that is what is so fascinating about it!

I loved seeing how different everyone painted! From simple to detailed, from precise to not so precise... So fun! And that last one was awesome!!!

Thank you Paul. I see that issue a lot with the new painters and I guess it's one of the dangers of working off a tutorial. They feel they have to reproduce it exactly and they have somehow failed if they don't. Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone's art was the same? A little while back I saw someone post a painting on your Facebook group they had literally pulled out of the trash.. and it was amazing, I would have hung it on my wall. I honestly preferred it to the original (no offense intended, and the original was just a monochrome sketch) it was more abstract , had a ton of movement and life, and a wonderful use of color creating beautiful depth. The magic ingredient in art is what each person puts into it that no one else can.

Recovering from a massive fall which caused bruised ribs (pain is killing me) the one joy I have right now is watching Paul his incredible informative and entertaining videos getting me through this painful days. Cant wait to be back on my feet and paint.

Mr. Clark what a wonderful scene, and excellent execution and explanation on the process... I have been following you in your RU-vid channel for quite a while now. I study art back in the 70's but after a long time dealing with oils and acrylics, I decide to experiment in watercolors since 2009, and what a journey it have been. Basically I had to retrain my brain and hands to the watercolors, and with the help of videos like yours in RU-vid I have been improving myself... I am 62 now and still in a learning process, I think that we stop learning the day we die... (If so!!!!!). But really want to express my gratitude to your time and efforts in placing your videos for people like me in this media.... and like a good old timer artist used to say: "Happy Paintings".... also I remember he said: "No mistakes in painting, just happy accidents!!!!!"

I loved seeing all the paintings- especially the last one. Got a little misty eyed....I’ve painted this twice now .... ugh. All I can say is thank you for saying we don’t/won’t always paint a masterpiece. I did enjoy it, though and maybe I learned something? You’re the best, Paul Clark!

Your advise is perfect though at times hard to “love” what my hand doles out. Lol. It was great seeing how your use of the white pencil just brought the morning light out. That was wonderful. I loved the last painting submitted by a little artist. My mind would have had me take artistic license with the left side of the painting. I’d hang any one of these in my home. Lovely.

As Betty says, you’re such a selfless and generous genius teacher and so encouraging. The gallery at the end was unexpected but one of the best things I’ve ever seen. I love these beach huts!! You can just smell the ocean and feel the breeze on your face and hear the sounds of seagulls overhead and suddenly all your cares just melt away in anticipation of the day. And even though everyone's painting was different the feeling they invoked was the same.... Loved them all!!
