You could also use your chosen varnish and run it into the seam line with a brush. Then just paint over it. Works really well. Learned it from Vince Venturella. Great videos. Can't wait to see what you got coming up.
Turning the seam line into a wound is a really smart idea, I should keep that in mind. I love my Fellgor Ravagers but it's reeeeal bad on some of them.
