Thanks for the recommendation! I ordered the box set! I'll be back for a re-watch when they get here!🤘 Also the PC VR game is on sale on Steam right now!
Weird question but does anyone have any good tips for removing mold lines on the heads? I tried as gently as i could but i still have a big flat spot. Is there a special tool?
Do what you like, because you helped me discovered Quar a fairly obscure game that I like the style of. Videos like yours help shine a spot light on these miniature games and show people other options.
I've never done a tabletop game in my entire life, and while I absolutely love warhammer for the lore something about this game actually makes me want to play as WELL as learn more about quar society. The goofy lookin lil guys still bein bad ass ww1 trench warfare experts combines my love of warp squigs and the deathkorp of krieg in a way I never knew I needed.
"Look Pim, I know it's our job to serve in the army and everything, but I think this war is a lost cause. The generals have obviously made up their mind. Why don't we just cut off our losses and GET out of here!"
I got back into sculpting and modelkits this time last year and I have been thinking about doing mini stuff again, and the sheer Just A Little Guy nature of Quar is pushing all the right buttons for me. Plus I honestly have barely done painting, so the tutorials are really helpful! Thank you so much!
9:59 I legit love painting my Deathwatch for this reason. I can kit bash each one a lil different to add personality and each one has different colour shoulder pads, weapons. capes etc but has the black armour and silver arm to keep them coherent and unified.I just like that your brought that up as the entire time watching this vid it was reminding me of why I love me Deathwatch. I was also hoping if I could ask you about how big guardsmen arms are compared to Quar. I've been considering kitbashing some to hold melta and plasma for Cadian shock troops but would hate to order a bunch of bits just for them to be too big and awkward looking. thanks if you can help and been loving the Quar videos.
You're Quar video really grabbed my attention. I am going to dive right into The Quar game next week when I get paid; going to order a boatload of stuff :)
For wood, if you take a small brush (can be an older semi-retired brush) and paint on some light brown or khaki lines, and then hit it all with a brown wash it gives a very easy to do wood grain effect. Doesn't take high skill or time since the lines for the grain don't need to be precise at all.
I looked up the tanks and got some expensive and or complex build ideas, the first of which is scaled up RC and only partly based on the official models. Gonna look at your TONKS video next too
The ease of access for these are so amazing!! Especially with the low detail of the faces and more fun non human skin tones. People are far less limited and I think that’s awesome. I also love the water colour art style of the official artwork.
