Also shadowfax gets his name from the ancient Floridian lore that shadows are indeed black and blue but are especially known around the office cooler to be the speediest at replying to faxes Shadow “Sue I just sent you a fax replying to your message.” Sue “but I haven’t even set the fax yet!” Shadow “I know!” Shadowfax being the lord of horse is almost that fast too hence the name 😂

I think he’s called Shadowfax because you actually don’t call a white horse a white horse, they are known as greys. They actually change colour as they get older, I believe they are born grey and get whiter with age
