Great. You got better finish than I achieved using sponge-on leather dye and then acrylic leather lacquer. I too used isopropanol and Scotchbrite, but couldn't see a way to spray it without blackening the red stitching on a 147 Sport Q2 steering wheel.

Thanks for the Great Videos.. My GT Selespeed in South Africa replaced the air cabin pollen filter after watching your video.. Its made the world of difference.. The filter that came out was the original.. 2004 model.. It was blocked like hell.. Now like a new car with the aircon airflow back proper.. Please do a video on rear parking sensors assembly/issues/not working! Be safe..

How to remove plastic sprayed covering leather. Hot water will remove to applied plastic covering leaving the leather underneath . The steering wheel is ready for prepping plastic primer and final plastic colouring . You can spray your new more modern designer look on your steering wheel. You can even purchase a pre spray on glue before coating primer .

Depending on how bad the underlaying leather is you could of course try a clear paint : www.colourlock.nl/trg-color-kleurspray-400-ml.html I found this one when I was searching for black in my 147, I have no idea how this works out but your red wont go black ;)
Yes mate all the music is on a USB stick loads of it tried going on folder random play etc but still sticks repeating one track it was working fine then just started repeating the handbook gives various ways but none appear to work I've had the problem before but if you select random then ok on the steering wheel it rectified it but not this time
Hi great video, I did my steering wheel with red stiches. I covered the stiches with masking tape and used a liquid leather paint,, i also changed the indicator stalks,, now I think I rotated the plastic ring that you specifically said not to do, what happens if the ring is rotated? What are the symptoms? What can someone do if it happened? Thanks you very much for your practical guides and knowledge
Hi, Thanks. If you rotate it to one side or the other, the wires inside can break when you turn the steering wheel, and that can cause the airbag light to pop on since the airbag is going to lose connection, you can lose steering wheel controls, and horn as well.

Looks like it's just been made. Great job ! How does the paint last? Did you try cleaning the steering wheel with any solutions? Does it come off when wet/sweaty or if you use alcohol solutions? Did you use a sealant on top or anything? Thanks !

Any update on how well it’s holding up after a year? Have you applied any kind of protective coating at any point? Also, your dash and steering wheel look like a very happy sea turtle.
