How to Paint Marble effect on a Motorcycle in your Garage

This video shows the process for painting marble effect or bowling ball effect on a motorcycle.
Here are the steps:
1. Prime
2. Paint base coat (Black)
3. Marble coat (White or Silver)
4. Candy Coat
5. 2K Clear
To achieve the marble effect you must use saran wrap or some sought of plastic bag.
The booth must be cool or the marble coat will dry to quickly.
Spray marble coat nice and wet
Then use the saran wrap and lay it over the wet piece.
Pat down the saran wrap and then remove.
Once you have the desired marble effect, let paint flash.
After flashing paint, add your candy coat, then clear.
You have officially created the Marble Effect or Bowling Ball effect.

Next time use a clean paint roller to push the saran wrap down with, don't tap it with your hands....it leaves pressure point where your finger tips touched....if you look at the tank, you can see where your finger tips touched.

The saran wrap is cool for small parts, but as you see when he was doing the "wrinkle effect" his finger tips were showing in the paint. It's best to use larger pieces, I always use the cheap family dollar garbage bags, very thin and large enough to cover the whole piece. The "wrinkle effect" should always be done with the dark base, then a lighter color. White or silver is best, then you can always candy over that to make those colors what you want, ie. blue, red, yellow, etc... Try using pearl white or silver, followed by a candy, then clear, and watch how that paint job pops. Also on the wrinkle layer, you want to over reduce the paint

just some useful tips, when you hit it with the material spray before the surface and continue to spray past the surface, this will allow the paint to spray smoothly in which will cut down orange peel and sanding time. this will also help fish eye. also if you wanted to add depth to the piece once a section or layer is sprayed and a medium clear coat to recess that area back so when the next layer is sprayed it will give depth. but all in all its not a bad work looks nice

it is good bit easier and better marble effect if you use tinted clear instead of white paint. A white and/or platinum pearl in clear does an awesome effect and will not dry as fast as white paint. Gives more time to work with. Always use Saran wrap brand. Works best for some reason.
