Looks great! And from what I can see very smooth. Did you sand the paint before applying the wax? Also, did you apply a topcoat over the stain & glaze? Or was the glaze the topcoat?
Thank you. The stain and glaze is more or less the stain and varnish in one. Its got the colour to stain the timber and a protection property built in. You can apply a topcoat over the top of it and I still do for extra protection. So if your in a hardware shop it's usually called stain & varnish.
For this piece yes I think using the carbide scraper or a paint stripper first would have helped as it was very hard to strip. However I personally don’t love paint stripper because it’s so messy. I grabbed the belt sander out and used that to rip off the top layer first then went back to my orbital.
