I’m very impressed. I’m a Jane of all trades myself. Not all women know the small stuff details, or most men. Just because a professional didn’t do the job doesn’t mean it can’t look like one did.
I was thinking the same. I wish the video was longer and not as fast. I know now many people speed up their videos for short content but it would help so much for diy beginners
Qhen my mom's house had to be relevelled, everything was repainted. She had chosen a darker wood for rhe sills and trim, but all her kitchen cabinets were a very light wood, and since you could see through to the kitchen, it bothered her. However, being a rental, and notbbudgeted for, we looked at other options. We got permission from the owner and over a weekend turned the cabinets into what lioks like a dark cherry or mahogany with a combination of a dark eggplant paint and a dark wook stain, and plastic wrap to add texture. I added cabinet knobs and drawer pulls and it turned out amazing. When the owner came to visit she chastised my mom for not letting her pay for the new cabinets. When we assured her they were same cabinets she was shocked!
When you water down the waterbased wood filler, to fill in the grain, use a plastic scraper to take off excess filler. It will save having to sand so much. Great job by the way, looks amazing.
Looks beautiful!!! Did you look into any of those new cabinet paint kits? Or the paints that are all in one? Without needing to do the primer? I’m curious how they turn out
Can you tells us know the brand of wood filers you use I’m Doing my kitchen and out of all the videos in the internet yours are the ones that make more sense to me. I love all your videos
I love how they turned out!! I have 30 + cabinets and they need this sooooo bad! I just don’t have the stamina or tools 😅. Ya wanna come to California and do this for me? 😂.
I use the same process but have experienced tanin bleed through. It stinks but oil primer or clear shellac is the best solution to not have to redo this in the future. ❤
What roller and grit sander did you use? Wanna paint my kitchen cabinets and I love your outcome but mine are already painted by previous owners and would love to repaint them. Any ideas or steps on what to do??
Hi! Really nice videos, may I have a question? I've seen different products which doesn't need to sand (in Italy they are called magic paints), only clean and one can paint them directly. What do you think about them?
I have also seen people use drywall mud/ joint compound instead of wood filler. Have you ever tried this method? I'm considering painting my cabinets soon, and that is what I think I'll use.
Question! Did you update your stove top or it came like that? We have the same hood range thing but your stove is way nicer than mine and I need to know 😬
I have a dresser that im redoing and I need a liquid wood filler for the drawers. I removed old peeling veneer. Which wood filler would you recommend that is self leveling and I can "paint" on?
