How do you do this without the old remote and without the app? My Firestick isn’t automatically connected to the internet where I’m at and I lost the old remote but since they’re not on the same wifi I can’t use the app. I bought a universal streaming rechargeable remote that says it can connect to FireTV through bluetooth but it’s not working

Thank you thank you thank you. I have been buying new units ie new fire sticks as I didn't know how to get a new remote, let alone pair it. The puppy just spilt water on the last one. The phone thing is great to know and I will definitely not be buying any more fire sticks when the remote breaks. Have saved this video as I am sure I will be using it in the future. Genius!

I’m having this issue as well. I have a remote to another fire stick, but I have a new firearm k that was never connected to the wifi, and isn’t registered, so I can’t do anything, it doesn’t even come up on the TV, so I need to be able to pair the remote to the other fire stick, to the new one. No ones been able to tell me how to do that

What if the remote stop working during a factory reset and fire remote apps are not connecting because of debugging not turned on. Fortunately for me I have a Hisense Google TV, so I don't have to use a Firestick.

My old one just packed in. Tried everything I could to get it working. I’ve got a fire tv and have a fire stick plugged in. Had to buy a new one. The new one has an orange light as soon as I press the home button. I’ve factory reset it, but the add new remote is asking for me to confirm to unpair old one 😩 and it won’t find new! I’ve done all the usual fixes. I’m desperate now as to what to do? Can someone please help 🙏🏻🙏🏻

My new Malinios puppy has eaten 4 remotes now ....that's 4 entirely new Firesticks! Low and behold, found out you can just get new remote! I have watched about 6 different videos (after the useless instructions didn't work) to get 2 replacement remotes working but yours actually worked! Thanks so much.
