Finally got it working my sister gave me her fire stick but the remote was broken and the stick was not already set up to my wifi so could not use the app to pair a new remote I bought.. I was going to go owt and waste £40 on a new stick but this video worked perfectly managed to connect to wifi with my tv remote and now can connect my new fire remote thankyou

Wow. Thank you for this video. I was able to change the wifi settings of my fire tv stick without the remote following the steps you mentioned. As soon as I turned on EasyLink Remote on my Philips TV I was able to navigate the fire tv settings with the TV remote. Thanks a ton
