Can you connect the mouse and keyboard so that I only need to switch one of the devices, that both the keyboard and mouse switch to the other device. Because it is to me completely illogical that I want to have the mouse on one computer and the keyboard on the other. Logitech also don't do this and it is frustrating.

So I'm assuming the switch between the devices has to happen for both keyboard and mouse separately? For example, can you press device 2 on keyboard and have the mouse automatically follow the switch to the same device the keyboard is switching into?

Yes that is correct. Switching the mouse and switching the keyboard are independent and need to be done separately for this Dell keyboard and mouse. So far I think only Logitech keyboard and mouse that works with Logitech Flow will automatically switches the keyboard over when we switch the mouse.

The only video that shows how to reset the bluetooth channels. Not even Dell tech support was able to tell me. I am having an issue resetting channel 1. Do you know any other method that might help ?

Thanks Jorge. I haven't tried resetting channel 1. I suspect channel 1 is hard-wired to the USB receiver and we cannot reset channel 1 for Bluetooth connection. This is my guess.

Although it comes with just one USB-receiver you do not need another one, do you? It seems to be able yo connect without it as long as device has Bluetooth?

Yes, that's correct. I am connecting the mouse and keyboard directly to my laptop using Bluetooth without using the USB receiver. The supplied USB receiver is for us to connect to (desktop) computer that doesn't have Bluetooth capabilities. And yes, one USB receiver connects to both the keyboard and mouse, we don't need another one.

Do you think this Dell keyboard is better than the Logitech Signature k650? Also, do you think this mouse is better than the Logitech Signature M650?

Typing feeling of keyboards is very subjective, but personally, I like the typing feeling of this Dell keyboard more than the K650 keyboard. This dell keyboard is also a lot more compact compared to the K650, and it's easier for me to bring around. In terms of the mice, Logitech M650 Signature is definitely a lot better than this Dell mouse if we purely compare the the basic functionality of a mouse such as button clicks, scroll wheel functionality and horizontal scrolling (yes, M650 has horizontal scroll). However, M650 is not a multi-device mouse. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

is the mouse compatible with iPadOS? I mean, does it allow for buttons remapping. This is not officially stated...yet may be present. Also, does it work "by default" on Win/Mac (without the Dell app running)?

I am not a ipad and mac user. You can always search for Dell peripheral keyboard and mouse app, and see if they have Mac OSX version and iPadOS version. My guess is they don't have iPadOS.

Do you turn the keyboard and the mouse off everytime to save power battery? Or you dont need to do it?

I normally don't turn them off, and the battery is still good after 8 months.

Hi, is there any way to reset all connections from the bluetooth pairings, as my lkeyboard and mouse is full and cant pair with any other device as there are no ways to connect new ones except the dongle. I have connected my mouse to a macbook but now it doesnt unpair it, even I went to that number and held the key but the blinking is different and it doesnt let me pair a new one.

Why can't Dell Peripheral Manager offer the ability to map switch mode buttons on Keyboard and Mouse as shortcuts. If that feature was offered, it would make things even easier!

No. None of the keyboards I have tested so far has caps lock light, except Microsoft Designer Keyboard.

Personally, I prefer logitech k580. The device switching is faster because of the dedicated device 1 & 2 keys.

@@shrey522 now typing experience is a very personal preference. The K580 has scissor switch keys and the Dell has membrane keys. K580 is more tactile, louder but more responsive. Keys on Dell is firmer but quieter. Personally I prefer the Logitech K580 because I can type faster. Dell is a bit slower for me, but I can still get like 60 - 70 WPM on the Dell.

@@SkyPerspective Thank you! Dell states that the 7120 has scissor switch keys, but I'm not certain if they provided inaccurate information. Dell's prices are twice as high as Logitech's k580. Dell also has premium look. So, do you think the typing experience is better on the K580?

@@SkyPerspective Dell offers a replacement warranty for three years, while Logitech has a warranty for only one year.
