straight and to the point, the way every tutorial should be. You're a good teacher and have a great bit of charm to keep people watching and enticed. Subbing off just this video. Thank you for the tutorial
Do a tube on why you would use pan, some demo in a project you are actually doing. Suggest topic 'spectral pitch use' and spectral frequency. Since CC there are thousands of newbiees coming up every day who dont have a clue but have the most advanced software at their fingertips. I am one and I don't even hear the some of the things you are talking about... So something that points what you are listening for. listening to. Great job. You have a gift.
I can probably do a panning video that shows how I would use that in radio imaging and even RU-vid videos. Also feel free to check out my Spectral Frequency video here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mJvUhbtdYEA.html SFD is a must in my daily editing. thanx for watching! DO
I love that this video is well done, quick & to the point but I don't understand what's happening here with pan. Someone below described it as "an assault on the ears" which confuses me because they sound the same to me.
hey so i copied what you did exactly but it still comes out of both channels... i played with the settings then it only comes out the left channel.. any help would be greatful
Make certain you're using a STEREO multi track. If you are...then make sure you're dragging your keyframes to the BOTTOM of the file for the right channel and the TOP of the file for the left. If that isn't working make sure your speakers/monitors aren't summed to mono and they are in fact set for stereo playback. Hope this helps. Good luck!
A couple issues can cause you to not be able to see the pan icon. The main issue is usually that you are in a MONO multitrack set up. If you are, you have to create a new multitrack session that is STEREO. If this is NOT your issue, the next most common problem is that your tracks are physically reduced in size. To correct this, you can hold ALT or OPTION and use your mouse scroll wheel in the session to change the size of the tracks. If this is the issue, you will see the pan icon appear again. If it is not one of these issues, then I would recommend starting a brand new multitrack session in STEREO and then drag in the files you've already been working on. Good luck! David O.
