I’m think about security+ and the blue team level 1 certificate which is basically same as security+ in a lot of the concepts but it goes in-depth and the exam is practical hands-on exam instead of any multiple choice which is definitely a plus for me where I feel like security+ could be a memorization dump. So far I’m leaning towards blue team especially since they offer a free retake.

I decided on taking the BT1 in lieu of the CEH for now. I heard it was hands on and very comprehensive!

This is a fantastic video! Thank you so much!! I’ve been down this rabbit hole of non traditional learning for quite sometime now and let me tell you there is A LOT of material to wade through. However you just managed to highlight all the most important points and lay them out in a way that is practical to learn not just the CompTIA, but anything…. In 10 minutes!! I wish I had found this video sooner! Subbed!!

yup, reading for me = zone mode (passive learning) and only 20% or less seems to stick. I'm going to give the book a try, apply it to classes in next semester. (intro to networks, computer forensics, & firewalls) being able to clearly explain things in simple form for anyone to understand, shows great knowledge. Most people don't like big dictionary words and zone out.

Any tips on learning the study guide book? It’s kinda hard - should I read the network+ study guide or just watch videos then book… I’ve never learnt like this before so… pls help if you can Edit: I was read the legit study guide pushed by COMPTIA themselves so I figured (cuz it does) have the max amount of information, so…

Hello Nicole! Love your content! I have a question - I have the 501 version of the book. You think this version is okay if I'm taking the 601? Would love to hear your thoughts :)

@@maultron2051 I been using Udemy videos as oppose to reading books, I personally find them more helpful, I will be using index cards and practice exams to reenforce what I learned. I should also state that I have prior experience working in IT years ago but never taken the A+ exam, so it actually easier for me is some respects but it's also bit more challenging because the exam is in two parts.

@@michaelbrown7142 if u already have experience in the field wasting your time with A+ go straight to networking more valuable and its only 1 test instead of paying for 2 if u truly have experience. A+ is more geared for people who have no experience

Hello, I am new to Cyber Security/IT. I recently just bought the 501 and have been studying a lot so far and noticed your link is now the 601. Would I have to buy and learn the 601 version?
@nicoleenesse

No, they are usually pretty simliar and your certificate won't say 501 or 601. Take the 501

Honestly just watch course and do as many questions as possible. Including performance bssed. The harder the questions the better as all the SEC+ questions are massive waffley paragraphs and you need to get good at working out what they are asking. Even though they say they don't, they do try to trick you.
