Wanted to send you a huge thanks! My son is 26 and has been working for my ex brother in law for 6 years as an electricians helper. He is going to dump his company after 30 years and go back into the union. Took my son down to the hall and they are going to let him take the test to see if he can go right as a journeyman. We're going to use all of your advice and hope like hell that he passes. You're truly a great man for taking your time to help people out like this!
It takes a real man to fess up to a mistake like that.👊👍🤘 I would likely make the same damn mistake....ya know? Instructions.... don't need that sht....right over the shoulder into the trash 😂 Thank You for this video. Extremely Helpful. Please continue to help us
We don't get to bring our own code books here in California unfortunately so tabs are out of the question. Still have the same 4 hours to work with as well. Thanks for sharing. Good info here.
@@oomps_ Yes, I took it back in December, passed in 2 hrs 36 min. I took the electrical exam coach 10 week course. studied every night for about an hour for 3 weeks. Really not that bad. I expected more calculations. The biggest thing is time. Take a lot of practice tests and make sure you are not wasting too much time on one particular question. Good luck bro!
@@SeanLeonDrumz Calculations was definitely something I was worried about, got some formulas down. Heard Union was dying for Journeymen, in the bay area at least.
I did maybe 5 calculations bro. I would not stress on them. Know voltage drop, and focus on article 220 calcs. Shoot me a DM ill hook you up with the log in for the course i took.. Im at local 40 (motion pictures NECA) . we need a 300% increase in apprentices for this new TV land they are building. Going to be an 18 year job supposedly. Lots of work going to be needed.
@@SeanLeonDrumz hey how’s it going bro, I’m going to take my test soon, took it the first time back in 2006 and passed with a 98%. Unfortunately I didn’t do the continuing ed back in 2014 and it lapsed. Just a little nervous heard it has changed quite a bit and is pretty hard now? So not too many calculations huh? I don’t remember there being more than a couple back when I took it the first time. Any advice you can give on what sections to study would be appreciated
