Where do you get your fleece, and does it have to be polyester fleece, the only fleese i have found without adhesive was for aquarium filtering

Thanks for the video. A couple of things I would do differently would be as follows. Fold a new piece of metal that covered the entire section previously repaired including the side laps and place sealant between the new metal section and the old roof sheeting prior to screwing the new metal section down. Remove any excess sealant to prevent ponding of water at the repair site.

Either caulk them with Geocel or replace the screws with new grommet screws.

How big would a hole need to be to necessitate a metal plate as well instead of just the turbo polyseal and fleece?

I have covered holes over 10" wide with only Fleece and Turbo. But I did uses 2 layers of fleece and it came off a wider roll I had. I think if you expect someone to step on the repair, then you are better off to use some metal for strength.

Polyester fabric. very hard to find. Bergstromm.com sells it

Given how much of a mess the previous person made, it would probably be easier to just cut that whole area out and graft a new piece in with the peaks of the valley as the seam point, overlapping the old roof over the patch above and over the old roof below. In my experience, no compound lasts. Not even the most expensive kind. The best solution is always clean metal joints in such cases.

What do you suggest is better? Don't criticize unless you have an answer. It is easier to break down than to build, it appears you take the easy path. Let us hear what is better and show and tell. There are products that are better but are far more expensive and harder to use. I have been roofing for 40 years, and never looked into other products than Firestone Torch Down and Karnak 81. I was ignorant like most people till my son started his own roofing business and introduced me to other products. Anyway, thanks for your comment. Maybe we can talk about what is best. I will gladly put it to the test.
