Hey beauties, instead of securing the bag, today we’re going to be securing the Bantu Knot. I’ve created the perfect bantu knot tutorial to help you achieve your best bantu knots every single time. I simplified bantu knots as much as possible, so you can feel more comfortable to master it on your own. Honestly bantu knots is like the perfect protective style, especially if you’re transitioning. I know it takes some practice for bantu knots to come out correctly, but if you keep practicing and be patient, you’ll be securing these knots in not time! If you found this video helpful, don’t forget to share, comment, like & SUBSCRIBE. Love you for watching!✌🏾
Also let me know if you guys have any video requests below in the comment section!

They are called Bantu knots because long back in are culture the Nguni or the Zulu tribe..women with high status in the community used to wear it or do it...just like that long gold necklace u see pple wearing these days..it was a sign of wealth and status ...

I'm Caribbean and I haven't heard of either. Though I've had that style before and since it's been four months of me and my natural hair I think its time I learn to style it and this seemed rewarding. Four days with bantu knowts, one with curls. That's five days of no combing. Yay!

i am from barbados and we call them corkscrews use to do them when we finish washing our hair and dont want to blow dry or for a twistcurl or wear it as is
@BellaMecia
@BellaMecia 7 лет назад
Same here girl..lol Almost every Sunday my mom would wash my hair and do this style right after but I would always try to unravel it because I thought the curls looked better. Not to mention I always got stares like I was an alien because this style wasn't well known then. She would be so happy to know that I kept it in and rocked it as is..lol
@krob9145
@krob9145 6 лет назад
My grandmother also called them corkscrews. That's what she did with our hair every Sunday morning after she washed it. We were so embarrassed to be seen like that. We'd hide if any visitor showed up and we had corkscrews or there would be tears if one of us was asked to go on an errand to the corner shop then. My grandmother's parents, my great grandparents were from Barbados.

Bella Mecia hello! I've heard that a lot of people with Afro hair do Bantu knots at night so that their curls are more defined. I have wavy hair but really enjoy curls, do you think that if I do it everynight to have curls in the morning, will it be damaging?
