Hey mate why do you test it at 100psi? I’ve seen others do the test at 50. I’m not sure myself that’s why I ask just for some extra information as I want to do this to my b16a before adding boost Nice video btw and well explained now I know how to do the test at least lol
@lazz8827 thank you, and just also think about how percents work from 100. 10% of 100 is....20% of 100 is....now if you change the number to let's say 50.....You'd have to do some math. That make sense? Or maybe better sense?
No but keeping this in mind, if you buy a used engine that's been sitting for awhile, you may not get 100% accurate results. It's usually optimal to do a test after the engines been running to ensure expansion is happening. So to answer the question, yes it can be done outside of the vehicle but be cautious with the results as well.
