We have used the ru-vid.comUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!
In this kind of a situation (buying a used car with a smell) definitely also remove the pollen filter before ozone treatment, and then after the first 30 min ozoning, turn the car on with the A/C on, together with *air* *recirculation* switched on and ozone for another 10 minutes. That's how you get to everything. Then put a new pollen filter in (costs usually about 15 $). Very first thing I recommend doing is vacuuming and cleaning the interior, though 🙂
Why rush it ? If you have "any" ozone smell left at all, what's the problem with doing this in the evening, and then leaving it with the windows down over night ?
I used the ozone generator to get rid of BIG DOG WET SMELL out of a house we rented - 2400 sq. ft. We did 40 mins. both down stairs and up. It took us several days to get the ozone out of the house, windows open etc. However after we were done, the house is now totally BIG DOG SMELL free! Be patient, repeat as needed, ventilation is the key!
I think it’s funny that people will be tracked down by showing a license plate in their video… but also drive around in public with a license plate like it’s not the same thing 😂
Tried this on my car. The ozone is still persistent after a week. Now my car smells like an abandoned psychiatric ward and I can’t remove the smell. Help.
Great video. All good comments except that you want to make sure the sweet ozone smell is entirely gone before you spend significant time in the vehicle. The odor threshold is just 0.1 ppm, and if you can smell it, don't spend a lot of time in that environment. Also, do this outdoors, not in a garage attached to your living apace.
After opening the car doors, it's safe to enter the car in just 10 minutes. The ozone is gone by then. What you smell is just the lingering affects of penetrated ozone which won't hurt you.
How many miligrams per hour this generator is producing? Because, it is probably the main issue, if doesnt properly remove the smell in the some comments that Ive read through
I put circulation on and also the other options where air blows on the top of the dash and the down the feet. Also with AC and car running. Was that wrong? Should I only have had circulation on?

I would put the ozone generator on the seat or center console. Ozone is heavier that air and it may get trapped on the floor. The higher the better when using an ozone generator. Also, ozone has a half-life of about 20 minutes so after an hour it's down to 1/8th original strength. It will lose half of it's potency every 20 minutes after turning off the ozone generator.
@@Rt56789 I personally did not fix the smell in my car ...the Insurance company did & left it on for 12 hours ( not safe in my mind) but in the house 1/2 at a time ....smells like mountain air
@@timwetherall629 For me it did, what i did was buy a febreeze small spaces air freshener. its really fights that smell. If you dont want your car smelling like any perfumes, just roll the windows down and drive around town getting nice fresh air in.
No you can leave the car off with all the windows up. But if you do still experience a bad smell with the ac on especially, before the ozone machine shuts off, you could turn on your cars ac for 10 ~ 15 minutes.
You’ve used this and it honestly works? I’m interested in you giving your honest review when the ozone smell dissipates. In my experience with cigarettes , the cig odor comes back after awhile. 🤷🏻♂️. And I’ve done a number of cars. So, I use CLO2
Rule of thumb place ozone machine highest point possible ozone settles down to the ground naturally and prior to you stopping the ozone machine should have ran a/c for a few. One last thing when done normally you don't want to open windows because you want the ozone to settle on surfaces. Best way to fully take advantage of ozone is to let set for hours without windows open. Obviously don't allow yourself to smell or breath in ozone any intelligence would tell you its not a natural order to sit yourself in for any time. Some of the comments people have are negative because they just aren't educated enough how to use something that mother natures produces.
I wouldn't recommend using one overnight. All you need is 20-30 minutes for each treatment. If you find an odour lingers, repeat the process every 2-3 days until the odor is gone.
Hey CF, just bought an Approved car from audi but there is definitely a bad smoky musky smell from the car. My clothes smell especially in areas that have had direct contact with the seats. Would this warrant an ozone treatment? Is it actually possible to remove the smell after a few treatments?
It will definitely help. On my Lexus, it had a light smoke smell and worked to remove the smell entirely. However, my mom's car had a much heavier smoke smell and the ozone generator wasn't able to get all of the smell out. It's definitely worth a shot!

Funny enough I have the same model generator and it definitely works a charm although I've had success with shorter run times but wasn't dealing with old smoker smells to begin with. I just hold my breath, turn it on while car is running, shut the door, walk away for 15-20 minutes, hold breath, shut off generator, let car continue running a few minutes, air it out. Can always run it again/ longer if smell isn't full removed
Yes it will certainly help. I can vouch for the model he is using. Had excellent results. Ozone smell may linger, if so you can accelerate the dissipation by venting longer or running car on highest heat with recirculation on (ozone half life is influenced primarily by heat, humidity and air movement)
@@CarFanatic I thouroughly cleaned the car including shampooing the carpet. Read online that its the insulaiton used in VW/Audis that has a distinct smell when it gets old.
@@MrTeslaX Change the cabin air filter, also try using some cleaner (don't use something too strong! try with professional grade interior cleaner first) and wipe down the entire rood lining several time. definitively don't over kill the roof , as the glue can get loose and that's not fun.
It’s just a mask/Bandaid. To place an stronger smell I’m so your nose isn’t picking up the other smell as easy. That’s not a fix. Getting ride of the smell is what it is
