This is the kind of way teaching the tutorial in relax slow pace. Unlike some they are rushing into things forgetting that the viewer might be a beginner in that aspect of they what to know. Thank you. God bless. 👍🏼🇬🇧

@@iPhone_Photography_School Watch from 9m 20s, Mirror Front Camera should be off because if it is on, then The North Face text on your jacket is displayed the wrong way round.
as you made this video, nearly 2 years back, since then so many things have changed over the years. Could you please make another one on the correct iPhone camera setting now so that we can change our settings?

Fantastic video and tutorial. I've had an ihphone for years and never really took time to learn about all its camera features. I'm excited to learn more! You're a great instructor and clearly you love what you do. Kudos!

Thank you so much. Your videos are wonderful. Your voice is not rushed like most of these are, and you are a very good instructor. Some people can be very good at something but NOT good at teaching it, but you are definitely not in that category. Great teacher! Thank you for all of these tips.

I'm one of those people who can afford to buy any iPhone I want to but never really know how to get the max advantage of the camera. This is by far the most helpful video I've come across and the way you explain is fantastic. New sub

I disagree with setting the Mirror Front Camera to the "On" position. When you take a photo with it on, any words (like the logo on your jacket) will be reversed and you will not be able to read them. I have always wondered why people post photos or videos and the image is reversed. I believe it is best to keep the Mirror Front Camera off and adjust while taking the photo.
That's a fair point! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that! It will come down to personal preference. We are aware that this tool is not useful for all scenarios. But it is good to know what this tool is and what it does in case someone needs it :)

View outside the frame is helpful. when by mistake you have cut through the feet or legs or some extra scene. Specially when your friend is taking photo of you but taken extra to one side atleast you can adjust later on
Adjust later on?? According to my understanding and the test I just did now (iPhone 13 mini), the part outside the frame is just shown when taking the picture, but isn’t recorded. So when looking at the picture you’ve taken later on, these parts are lost and you can’t get back that leg or feet. And if you managed to do that, I’d be curious how!

Unless you’re often taking pictures of scenes with motion, I would recommend enabling Preserve Settings for Live Photo, then disabling Live Photo in the Camera app. Since Live Photos record 1.5s of footage on either side of the shutter, shooting Live shortens the maximum exposure of photos. In bright conditions, this has little to no effect, but it can be result in degraded quality in low-light situations. This was most noticeable on iPhone 6s and 7 Plus (the earliest iPhones that enabled Live Photos). The wide lens on newer iPhones are less affected by this; however, the telephoto and ultra wide lenses remain markedly slower than the wide, and therefore, unnecessarily shooting Live on those lenses will markedly impact the quality of your photos.
This is the most understanding and impactful tutorial video I’ve ever watched So detailed and explained in slow pace for better understanding Thank you🙏

Great content but EXCELLENT EXPLAINING! For example, when you said, "Now let's return to the camera app... Click on the top left.... and you put that red rectangle / box to show everyone where to click to return to the camera app, that was EXACTLY what a good teacher for beginners (and that's many of us here today when it comes to iPhones and photography) would do. Yes, your video is made for those of us who want a REAL explanation with clear steps that allow us to really do what we are supposed to do. THANK YOU!
Thanks for your comment Keith! We are glad you liked our lesson. Feel free to check out our full course should you want to learn more about iPhone photography. :)
I think the mirror image part was intended to deliberately flip because if you have text on your shirt or somewhere in the photo it would remain readable.....I'm pretty sure I saw it on your jacket in the flip as well.

Hi Ian! Yes, when sharing you will need to convert to JPEG when sending your photos to non-Apple devices or when uploading to social media but this is done automatically for you. Shooting in High Efficiency reduces file size but retains quality which is why we recommend it :)

Really good stuff. I understand your mirror font explanation and preference but . . . when the image moves from left to right any writing in the image is as if you are viewing it in a mirror and therefore backward, ie., the North Face logo on your jacket.
I’ve learned so much by watching your videos, so informative... and very easy to follow videos. More success to you, much appreciation from South Africa 🇿🇦

I have iPhone 12 Pro Max and I have been facing issues with deep fusion. Whenever I click nice pictures and then open it in photos app, at first the pictures look really natural and good but then after 2 seconds the pictures become over exposed and over sharpened. Its like it has been taken from some cheap phone. I tried turning on/off everything but nothing happens. There is a whole thread on apple discussion site where everyone is facing this issue of over exposure and over sharpening of picture on iphone 12 series. Could you please make a video on this issue. I don't see any youtuber talking about this issue. This is a very big issue for everyone
We haven't encountered this particular issue, Anand. Have you tried to check in with the experts at Apple? They have excellent support through chat and phone! Here's the link: support.apple.com
