Honestly she is a champion on camera both speaking and how she holds herself, a pro. Like she's come out of the newsroom and now on yt. Love it! Thx for the great content xo
Best advice offered here was "turn off the news". Caravanning aside, the world would change if more people followed this advice... Great episode guys. Thank you.
Hey team, followed your journey and what a journey it has been. One thing that surprised me was the honesty in your financial situation planning your trip. What an inspiration this is for many viewers. Enjoy your travels with your little man who has grown up so much since departure day. God bless you all and maybe our paths will cross one day. Regards, Mike " Old Fella's Travels"
What a sensational mini series guys, Ep1 is ticked off for me however I’ll be kicking back to rewatch with the wife. We’ve made the decision that it’s time for the travelling life for our little family of 3, with our son just having turned 3. We’ve got 6months to plan as we’ve just listed our Melbourne home in the market then Jan 2023 we’re on the road. Our new tow vehicle arrives this week and we’ve secured our new 19.6ft home. Makes me feel even better that all my planning to date lines up with your advice…so far…however I’ve certainly picked up a few extra tips from the first ep already! May see you guys out there!
Thankyou so much, can't wait to watch more. Im in my two year planning phase and am focused on being debt free before I go so I am going to take your ideas and go and get my self a white board so I can tick off my little steps towards my goal. I am currently taking the steps but don't have anything to tick off, I think this will make a huge difference to my level of motivation and happiness. I am also going to live my life as if I was in my motorhome. Thanks again
Great advice! We also did the mini videos at our van handover and are so glad we did! We have referred back to them several times - especially the awning! We are in the planning stage of a 3 month trip - it is exciting😀
@@TheFeelGoodFamily From Molloy Island (WA) over to Qld - hopefully up to Atherton/Cairns then down the coast to Wollongong (seeing family on the way) and back home. That's the initial plan - but plans can change!
Thank goodness you have shared your playlist, I was always watching your vids and either shazaming or rewinding the for the track names while I punched them into Spotify search lol
You have put a lot of hard work in for us to reap the benefit of your travels. I enjoy all your episodes. I have found my ' tribe' as you put it. I am looking forward to the Starlink review with interest.
Another Great Episode and some Great Tips for Planning my Big Lap, i Decluttered some of my Van before my Last Trip and unfortunately some items i removed i shouldn't have. Ie- Jack Stands, i Set of Wheel Bearings and Spare Wheel Hub , Leaf Spring Holder Spare Brake Line. Lucky the NRMA helped out but in hindsight it was my mistake (You need plenty of Spares when towing a 1972 Wood framed Van around especially on Dirt Roads) cant wait to see next weeks Episode
hi guys been watching from the beginning and have loved watching your family navigate this. You have inspired my wife and i to go travelling around our country and get our new motorhome in 5 weeks.we are going to document our travels would like to know if you have any recommendations for editing this thanks guys
G’day Brian! Congratulations how exciting! If you an Apple device person I’d recommend starting with software called iMovie and then as you get more confidence continue on to Final Cut Pro. If you are on PC then check out Premiere Pro. All the best and safe travels 🌴☀️
Have you "ICE'd" your phones? The Police have a way to access locked phones so, in case of an emergency, they will look for the letters ICE in front of the names & numbers of people you would like contacted. ICE stands for In Case of Emergency & makes their job much easier. A handy Ap is: Emergency Plus which gives you information which you may give to the emergency services to locate you.
I've got StarLink for our offgrid property and it is fantastic but I thought it was locked to an address or region, not portable. Be awesome if it can be mobile, look forward to hearing if it works for you as you travel.
Hey guys. Brilliant epidsode as usual. Love watching your videos and thank you for the entertainment. Greatly appreciated. Ive been looking for the ebooks regarding this episode. Are they not on your site yet? Cheers ☺️🥰👍
Hi Kerri, thank you so much! Katie is still working on the E-book which will be released when the 3rd installment of this mini series goes live in 2 weeks. You’ll find it on our website - thefeelgoodfamily.com/shop/ 🙏😊
It would be good if you had the episode number in the title of your videos ... e,g Ep133 - How to Plan ..... Would enable the videos to be watched in the order that you recorded them.
We are still in planning stage lol and it’s not quite going to plan lol. One hint for others when you start planning add another 2 years. What you have in your head vs reality is so very different
@@TheFeelGoodFamily being a single parent single income household this means the amount of income I can save is not as much as other families with two incomes. corona virus making prices of vans and cars for that matter outrageously ridiculous and out of our price range. Tbh I won’t be buying a renovators delight most require way too much work and are leaking messes. These leaky vans are selling for over 20k which is just not good investment. So I shall wait it out for now. Hopefully closer to the end of the year things may look better and I would have saved a lot more.
We totally can relate to and understand these pressures and challengers and you are going for it which is fantastic, and keep staying positive! You are an inspiration to be doing this on your own! I remember looking at our debt and thinking how will this ever happen…. those small daily steps really do add up in the end 🙏💙
@@TheFeelGoodFamily oh yes it’s those baby steps. I think if anyone is doing this you need to remember to cut yourself some slack. I paid down 25k in credit card debt 8k car loan and have now saved 28k in 2 years so I always have to remind myself of that. It’s hard when you feel static that’s when you need to give yourself a pat on the back to keep focused on the big goal. I have no doubt we will get there it’s learning to be patient that’s the hardest part. In the meantime we will just go on mini holidays with our tents which we love btw
Hi Glen, the E-book will be available on our website when the 3rd installment of this mini series goes live in a couple of weeks. Katie is still pulling it together 😊 You’ll find it here - thefeelgoodfamily.com/shop/
Lots of good advice there team. We recently went through our caravan & removed heaps of stuff that we don't use. You're right about having a set up & departure check list. There's nothing worse than driving away with one of the corner Jack's still down. Yes....well....we won't go there.
Hi Elizabeth, I’m sure with some great planning and working around seasons you can do it - just take your time and do loads of research on your set up and what will work and suit you best and enjoy every moment 👍🇦🇺☀️
He’s become so accustomed to the travel lifestyle and living that he doesn’t know much else - fortunately is amazing in the 4WD as well - only the really windey roads in Tassie made him feel unsettled 🙏😊
When or if you go back to stanthorpe qeensland there is a caravan park called Somerville caravan park it's near the local dam called storm King dam you should try it thanks john
Hi from NZ. We have been planning for a year now and will be over in Aussie FEB 2023 to travel for two years or so. We are interested in your e book for the planning and tips. How do we order this from you or where do we go to purchase it? kiwisroamingoz Chris and Sarah.
Hi guys! We can’t wait to get over to your beautiful patch! How awesome you’ll have 2 years to explore Australia, you’ll love it! The E-book will be available on our website when the 3rd installment of this mini series goes live in a couple of weeks 😊 In the meantime, check out our Tassie Itinerary E-books, some great stuff in there for your planning 👍 thefeelgoodfamily.com/shop/
Just watched this video. Have written down a lot of great tips! Can I ask how you generated an income on the road or what your plan was, once the money you saved had started to run low? Were not into social media and don't particularly want to be online. We like to keep our life to ourselves. Thank you again 🙏🩷
Hi Bianca, that’s fantastic! Here is a link to a video on this topic we filmed that we hope helps get some creative ideas flowing… basically we are blown away with how much work is available and the variety of work options people do to fund their adventures 👍☀️🌴😎 safe travels ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R-_dC53GcR8.html
