If you are mad of your neighbors, this plant hedge is the way to go. In just a few short years, English Laurel will grow to 40 to 50 feet high and took the sunlight completely away from your neighbor's yard.foot note from NY time. Mission accomplished!
How wide of a footprint would these typically take up? I’d love to plant some of these along my fence but I don’t have a very large yard, and concerned about how much space I could lose
What about prepping the soil with fertilizer and watering the laurel after planting? What is the reason for leaving the burlap in place? Won’t that bind the roots?
Did you ever free the root ball from the bindings? I could not tell when you might have done it, perhaps once the hedge is positioned in the trench? Thank you for your sharing
That's all very well, but I don't have anybody who can help, nor do I have a large stash of cash for my gdn.We did have a fence, but yobs kicked it down. Are there any other quick growing plants to make a hedge? My bro in law suggested poison ivy!!
Good video. Would love to buy 166m of this hedging but is it true that it is poisonous to dogs? How much per plant (delivery to Scotland) how wide and tall are they supplied. How tall do they grow? Thanks.
Laurel is poisonous to humans too. But then again, so is washing up liquid if you drink enough of it. I have two healthy dogs and lots of laurel hedging. Why would a dog eat it?
There are lots of options - Leylandii or beech are classic hedge plants that can easily reach that tall. It depends on things like your location, soil and appetite for maintenance.
Exactly what we were looking for but we couldn’t watch it because of the extremely loud, annoying, distracting music. We had to adjust the volume up and down and up and down depending on whether or not the lady was talking - but if she was or wasn’t, it was entirely too loud. Don’t understand why people use music on instructional videos anyway. We wanted to learn something - if we wanted to listen to music we would have turned on the radio.
Her British ACCENT is so THICK, I can't understand a word she is saying. I would say try speaking English but that would be counterproductive since....
