I just wish we were able to have competition events separately from school with different activities.. like a competitive cheering event where you could enter your club (which would be your team) and another team of teen sims would spawn and you would do 2 routines each and whichever team has the highest average of the cheer skill would win and each member would get a trophy in their inventory 🤩 this could be remixed with basketball, skiing/snowboarding, football (but first they’d need to actually be able to play a game 🙄), etc!
i've been using clubs in get together with high school years, it really adds a lot. i made a music club for some of my friends that meet in the second floor of thriftea, which is a really good space to make over for a club
This was awesome! Thank you for sharing all the tips. I really wish cheerleading was a separate skill since I feel like it’s almost a mix between dancing and fitness. I’m glad it’s a club activity though and that we can have sims actually do it in a club
Winning the event (for cheerleeding, football, chess and computer) gives Sim an inspired moodlet. (A little disapointed. Lol) Also, I found out that a Sim in chess (and computer?) team can click at the computer under Highschool catagory in the weekday to "request for a science fair". Then the usual cheer or football event will turn into an event for chess or computer team. I try this one with a chess team Sim, the event has 3 chess desk with a single chair. Your sim can "solve hard puzzle" (or something similar) on the chess board and submit score to the judge. It work like a cheer or football event. (I guess the computer team is an event for submit programming score? I haven't tried that yet.) I also found out that we can submit score only once. If we try it again and get the score higher, the submitting score interaction will be disapeared. But we can try it multiple times until the score is high enough and submit the score. (Solving hard puzzle in chess event is faster than cheering or playing football) One more thing. The cheer and football team are rival. They can paint the spray (deface?) the other team's backdrop in the event. It will give sim a mischieve skill boost. An NPCs also do this by themselves. The chess and computer team are also rival. The sabotaging backdrop happens in science fair too. I think it would be nice if you make a "science fair" video for players who don't know this exist. I think it would be dope. 😊
Thanks so much for sharing those hot tips Saipirun :D... I can potentially look into a science fair video or something that highlights it in the future :)
Thanks for your guide video. Finally someone confirms adult Sims can do cheer leading too. You would think the dance skill is a more logical choice but that's locked behind the Get Together EP. IRL it would be a combination of fitness, dance, gymnastics, acrobatics that would help you with cheer leading. (And probably good social skills for team work). I'll probably include cheer in my Sim dance club. The club system is the best ting that happened to TS4. I'm looking forward to this, I hope the HSY pack is on sale in the autumn. It might be, considering there's probably a new pack by then.
Thanks for the tips! Before the EP was announced I formed a cheerleading group in one of my Save Files, that's why I bought it hehe I've been trying the pack on another save file for a while, but soon I'll work on my Cheerios! 🎉
If you're doing the club feature thing, I would imagine if you have Get Famous, the perk where you can have your own group of squadmates show up everywhere with you and literally cheer you on would be helpful as well for the roleplaying angle.
Just binge watching to catch up on what I've missed while ill recently and I just have to say that I love how you always manage to spark my imagination and start my mind wandering down a path of how I could take your shared ideas and use them to season my own game up. Thanks for always being wonderfully creative!
I love your videos you’re always so thorough and have cool ideas like making a club for cheerleading which makes everything so much more cohesive I’m definitely gonna try that
Thank you! These are some really fun ideas. It is a shame clubs aren't allowed on the Highschool lot - I understand it wouldn't work while school is active but they could have done it the same way build mode works. As soon as school is done you can modify the lot. I like the Highschool pack but it needs a lot of fine tuning.
Im actually glad that they didnt add any extra skill. Cheerleading is directly tied to fitness afterall, no need to make things complicated imo. Great vid
@@PeteyPlaysIt that’s fair…all I can tell is: sometimes your sim will become scared of something, occasionally giving them a negative moodlit, and you need to do certain things to get rid of the fear…I don’t know if they do anything more than that
is it possible to set a different cheerleading uniform for every cheerleader as their default one? i havent been able to play yet so i couldnt find it myself :(
a guide is needed on how to play sims from the basics. really needed so they dont get lost. like me. everytime I start a new file I get lost in the beginning
I use the Fashion Authority mod to keep my cheer team in uniform during school hours (as high school uniform setting not cheer leader setting) and i change each cheer memebers sport wear into the uniform i want.
actually you can not as an adult because there's no high School option on the computer once you're Sim has aged up to young adult. and if you start off as an adult
When my cheer leaders finish a cheer leading event at school the game thinks its a Finchwood Fair and says i entered a pie. This bug occurs everytime. Does anyone else have this bug?
You know what doesn't make sense. That there's no cheerleaders or football teams at University there's both University cheering and University football in real life so why not also carry this over to college I think this would be a fun thing to do. Especially if it gives young adults more of a reason to be a cheerleader
First lightsaber dueling became synonymous with the fitness skill (instead of being its own special skill) and now the devs have decided to the same with cheer-leading. The Sims gurus are really becoming even lazier than before.
