The problem I have is that I find it difficult to kill with Batman, I can fully charge an special up and it wont kill, I have to do a perfect combo to try killing someone, when a Shaggy with a kick can kill me, I find this very annoying.

From what I can tell, his up specials, grounded or aerial, and his down air are his best kill options but mostly you will just rack up damage

I think the down air special is very slept on it has more priority than his down air attack which you can combo instantly into it + even if you’re on the ground the hit box is still active so I’ve literally slid across the screen & still hit someone & started my combo

Ppl say that it’s hard to kill with Batman but I disagree. I think that at mid %’s a fully charged baterang into grapple to a jab-jab up tilt into up special is a good combo finisher or kill confirm.

I streamed tonight only playing Batman and most of my kills were with his down air. I actually think he’s really great in a duo because he’s able to interrupt enemy combos so easily with the baterang. You can just toss it from behind your partner and then dive in to slam some easy damage

You can use your back button the one next to start to reset in lab so you don’t have to try to kill just to reset btw :)

First of all thanks for the video man! Great effort. Just a quick feedback. If you would put the inputs of your moves or combos right at the bottom of your video, it would get much more quality. And use timestamps so people could easily skip in between parts. That would be amazing man! Thanks for the guide

Another trick with the rang and batbomb is u can attach a bomb mid throw which I have not seen a lot of people due might be a bug I have no idea but I have been doing this recently

Really helpful video! I was confused when using “up special” is better than using “up smash”. I know the cape has a bigger hit box, but I’m unsure when to use one over the other, especially on the ground. In other words when should I generally use one over the other when trying to open up the enemy and punish.

I am starting to pick up Batman because his movement feels pretty great, but something that I still don't get is the follow up to his forward air. For the life of me I can't get it to hit, you are actually the first person I saw hit with it ever. Are you hitting a button to get the second hit while he is dashing forward? I had a similar problem with Arya's up special as when I used it, I needed to hit up air during the hitstun to rush towards the opponent, even though the move says you do that automatically on hit.

Batman's my current fav in this game, I think that the batarang knock back and grappling hook definitely need some tweaking, and sometimes combos don't always connect when they should, but overall a very fast and complex character and I can't wait to see his competitive potential and results

Also, down special is very underrated, it's very good for catching ppl off guard since you wont be using it much, and its a very good for chasing people off stage and spiking

Another cool trick, I do side light 2nd punch into batarang. As soon as it hits, you can hit neutral special and it’ll act as if the batarang already had the bomb on it. Same result, less commital

Batman main here as well. I've learned if your kit isn't constantly on CD you're wrong. Always pick up batarang. It's your baby. Uppercut is the most reliable kill confirm. Down air is also a kill confirm, but little harder to pull off. Still I picked up couple tips here didnt know. Thx!

@@Euruk1 ahh ok, don’t think of that. Uh yea when I play with him I try to mix in damage buff, usually some tops of cool down and maybe less damage or once recently started using the after it with projectile, the next meme hit adds inferno to opponent.

Try putting your dead zone up to 40% it makes analog inputs much more accurate

My one problem with batman is that always my grapple hook doesnt work at all, when i try to hook opponents and dash to them he travels like 3 pixels and then stops or glitches out

While this guide is great, I feel like you're using smash terms at times as someone not from a smash background, it's mildly confusing. Try doing the cancel in air if you are flying off of the screen. I noticed it killing myself the same way. If you use the cancel or whatever it's called you will stop all your momentum.

Batman’s grapple hook attack is the easiest attack in the game to dodge and counter imo they need to change the move by making it faster or getting rid of it
