Starfield - Official May Update 

this video feels like a conversation in Fallout when everyone is talking in settlement

We've been playing early access all these months

The starfield update sounded great until my eyes wandered onto the beautiful Power Armor behind them..

As someone who enjoyed city maps and markers in my games for the past 20 years or so, I'm really excited for the starfield players to finally get and enjoy this feature

Well those changes are actually great and useful. The thing is those things should’ve been available since day 1.

A map for the cities? This is groundbreaking.

...The year is 2330 we now travel the stars...and look we just invented maps

Ah, cool to see Starfield is slowly leaving early access and getting close to a full release.

Jokes aside, some of these changes are really welcome into the game, despite taking 7 months to release them and the fact that they should have come in 1.0

This honestly looks like a conversation in a quiet bar at 3 o'clock in the afternoon when the barmaid decides to talk to her only two customers because there's nothing else to do and feigns interest for tips

Okay. Okay. How about more enemies on more planets? Less literally completely empty caves?

The only thing that would bring me back to Starfield is if they added literally a hundred new random points of interest that could be spawned onto the planets when "exploring", rather than what feels like 4..... Abandoned Mining Facility, Abandoned Robotics Factory, Abandoned Research Lab, cave.

That dialogue camera OFF option is what got my attention!

How bout not having entire planets with one city. No loading screens. More diverse caves and outposts.

Why do they have to pretend to be interviewed by someone, it's so disingenuous. Obviously it's all scripted, even the hellos and goodbyes, it's all acted. Its so sterilized and impersonal, just be natural why fake an interview, it's like watching a TV commercial for a new pain relief cream. "Can you hold this coffee so it looks more natural" This is what happens when Developers turn into Coca-Cola.

Biggest gripe for the game was either how goody goody the main characters all are and how they shame you every time you do something they don't like, and the lack of decent clothing options for characters.

I'm actually excited for this "land vehicle", get that working, get them to release Creation Kit and we're golden!

How about no loading screens and allow us to explore 200x more?

If they give creators the tools and means to create their own planets from the ground up the possibilities are limitless to what can be possible with this game.

Is starfield ver 1.0 yet?

60fps on xbox, land vehicles, and so much more.. Starfield will keep getting better and better.

All of this should have been there from the beginning

How about planets being less empty. It would be nice for planets to have more things to on them or things to discover. I'm glad to hear land vehicles are coming.

These are all great updates but it's genuinely baffling how all of these things weren't in the game already. No one thought to put respecing options in an RPG? Or a functional map? Or a land vehicle on a giant space exploration game? Huh?

Christ, I've been looking for a ship decorate mode for so long. Nothing was more infuriating than placing all props manually, only for them to fall through the geometry because of how janky it was.

So is the vehicle coming in this as well it was that teased with the later expansion?

Absolutely love this game. Massively underrated. Looking forward to this update.

Would be cool to have a vehicle dock you can expand on your ship, so you can drive directly into the ship and store different vehicles

The dialogue camera option is the highlight for me. Always disliked the old school zoomed in camera.

A random thing that should have been changed is the blue-black background when you are in the menu or looking at inventory etc. perhaps it shouldn't be opaque or blank. Being opaque and blank gives it a small-world feel

For ships, how about a doorway/stairs blocker? Like a way to let us choose where doorways and stairs spawn.

The 200 guys that still play this game will be very happy!

Hope this game makes a comeback like cyberpunk.

A lot of smart updates that only make it more baffling that they didn't make the game like this from the start.

The maps are nice but the specialized difficulty modifications are pretty awesome and will absolutely improve my overall experience.

So nothing on loading screen reduction or actual space travel or do we still fast travel to have 2 or 3 loading screens vs more than 3 to get somewhere...hmmmmn?

Early access for another couple of years

Finally Vehicles! well a vehicle. I'm sure modders will have fun making tons more.

The whole map update made me laugh, it's so obvious that the map system in this update was already created and ready for launch day. But they changed it at the last minute because it would utterly ruin the whole 'immersive planet exploration' they promised and would be blatantly obvious the second planet you landed on If you play the update now, land on a planet and then bring up the map, you can clearly see wherever you landed has the game throw out a handful of POI's around you and then have absolutely nothing else outside of that initial area. It's incredibly 'videogamey' and not at all immersive like they said it would be. Now that the truth is out about the game and its level of depth and has been for months now, Bethesda doesn't need to pretend how lackluster planet exploration is anymore so they've updated the map. But free update with things that should've been there at launch guys!

Just disable the load screen while taking off and landing, most of the people really hate this feature. Just make us feel free to do anything like this is really open world.

A word of advice Bethesda, just show the updates there's no need to do it in an interview-style video people don't really care that much about these small feature updates.
