One of the most important things to learn as clash is charge consumption. A full charge of the CCE Shield is 4.5 seconds ticking once every second with each tick doing 5 damage for a max of 20 with armor types not changing the damage overall from a max range of 12 meters. Once fully used you cannot use your shield for 6.5 seconds. 2 seconds to start to recharge and then 4.5 to fully charge. However, if you stop using your charge before its fully exhausted it will go on a two second cooldown and charge the rate it gets used afterwards. The main strat you wanna use as clash early game is poke damage so from a safe distance just taze enemy's to annoyance as they enter the building with 70 health.

A great tactic is just have a p90 rook behind you, this is literally how I got plat 1.

I remember hearing about how Siege has a steep learning curve and it would take time to learn so I went to RU-vid and looked up how to use Hibana and came across your video. From there on out, I watched all of your how to vids and got better at Siege. I know that most of the vids are satirical but they actually helped me become better. If you're ever in a 1v1 or 1v2, no need for fancy 360s. 180 em and crouch, the shield on your back will protect you from bullets or melee, and if you can trick someone rushing you to hit your back you can get a free kill. Also works well for reloads under fire. You'd be surprised how many people empty their mags or just reload while you have your back turned. Can you tell who I main on defense yet

I think the best mindset for clash is to be a maestro cam. You can just sit there with your shield out and just give your team information, or you can expose yourself for some very good damage at the risk of dying and losing that inte.

"When should you bring clash?" When she's possible to play, considering she gets removed every two months or so.

As a clash main i really enjoyed this video :) there is definitely a few tricks you didn't mention here but that's expected considering barely anyone knows how to play her. sorry for the shameless self advertisement but i recently uploaded a 10 minute video of straight up Clash clutches and team wipes. feel free to check it out. i assure you that you've not seen many Clash players on this level :) Enjoy.

Coming from a clash player with 43 hours. You should have gone over tick rate of the shield or not to go into long hallways or outside with multiple enemy's or counters and how to counter her. Clashes counter is just running at her and pressuring out all her charge and keeping her on a force cooldown. A way to counter her is to see the front of her shield and if the circular light is lit up that means she has full charge and if not it could mean she has alot, little, or no charge left. Another important thing is to bate out enemy's abilities like if they have a gridlock you rush in front of a doorway or window sill and when she tosses it you block it or knock it back along with normal nades(if their not smart) and capitao bolts. Two more counters are nomad which you need to have HIT your shield then back up and the second you see that yellow laser you just book it backwards; the radius and set time are not fast enough or big enough to get you if it hits your shield; also the higher the airjab hits your shield the longer it takes for the airjab to fall and arm. The last counter-ish person is ash the the one way your counter her is that if she shoots her breaching charge at you and hits your shield it will dull out and their will be a audio cue that sounds like thick coins hitting the floor and possibly be rewarded 5 points for the damage blocked if you havent block a mass amount of damage previously. The only other attacker that can be a nuisance is zofia/buck from zofias nades being able to hit for almost 50 if she hits behind your shield and buck doing work with clash with his remotely fast fire rate shotgun upclose

Kali is a very good counter to clash actually. Everytime we're in villa an I think it's aviation room (mostly the first round) I bring kali cuz they put clahs on the door between aviation and study (sorry if it's different how you call in English, I'm Brazilian so I'm just trying to translate the calls) in the beginning of the round to get some information. Kali + some operator with a low recoil high damage gun will definitely get clash out of the way.

I love solo queueing as clash, but to be fair I only play casual so that probably explains why :p It's just really fun doing the spinning trick, or crouching with your back to the enemy whilst generally messing about with them. Managed to ace once when she just came out, and was broken in that she had extra quickdraw skills

I dunno if Ubi can get away with recycling the MP9, not without severely nerfing its recoil control. It's as good as it is because she has no other options and being a _mostly_ bulletproof wall is only really seful when you have something to push the wall into (like Monty). When Vigil had a secondary that good he was known for having two primaries because of it, and the MP9 practically is Clash's primary anyway.

My problem with Clash is that attackers don't have the wealth of options for dealing with her that defenders have, and she's much easier to properly utilize. Attackers get frags, which need to be timed right and thrown past Clash, and then basically just Capitao, Ash, and Zofia, maybe Gridlock. And on all of them, you're using your gadget utility to deal with her, which means you can't use it for clearing out defender utility. Defenders have Echo, Lesion, Smoke, Ela, Goyo, Kapkan, and Frost, and they also have a plethora of choices between nitro, which can do like 75 damage through the shield, and impacts, which do I think it's 20 or 30 through the shield. And both of those aren't main gadgets and are much more consistent to actually use than frags. On top of the defenders just in general having better kit to deal with Monty than Attackers have to deal with Clash, there's also the fact that Clash is just easier to capitalize on. The ideal way to use a shield like Monty or Clash is to do exactly what you said and flank, but the Attackers need map control to do that, and especially early on they just don't have that freedom. Most of the time they're engaging from behind Monty, which makes it easier for a Defender to simply prefire the attacker behind the Monty. I don't think the solution though is to nerf Clash (though I do think 5 damage per tick on her shield is too much, If 1 damage a hit is fair for Twitch's drone it's fair for Clash's shield as well, she doesn't need to be a bootleg Smoke in addition to being a Monty), I think the solution is to give Attackers more flexibility. An extra impact for Ash and Zofia for example, or maybe making shields immune to the slow effect so Blitz, Monty, and Fuze can square up with Clash. Or for a more creative solution, cut the arming time for Nomad's airjabs in half and let her gain them over the course of a round like Lesion mines, and now you have an interesting dynamic where a viable counter for Clash is to take a Monty and a Nomad and try to airjab the Clash. It would put the Clash in a situation where they either fall back and get help, or try to outplay the Nomad and blast her with the MP9 when she has the airjab launcher up.

Ah yes, the shield player tunnel vision, where a player won't stop watching a shield player standing in a door and get butthurt when someone flanks them.

this was actually pretty helpful. not to say these vids arent usually helpful, but because ubi cant go a season without removing her because she's broken i dont actually get to play this op a lot or practice.
