The biggest problem is actually the opposite of what ur explaining. The real issue is that Ubisoft is only focusing on making the game enjoyable for old players. They only care about the retention of already good players. This being shown in the ranked '2.0' system, which essentially just makes it so that the game decides how good you are, and makes it near impossible to rank up beyond that, without near impossibly long win streaks. the concept of ranked for Ubi right now, is simply making it easy for their consistent emerald, plat, diamond players to get right back up to the same rank once the season resets, because pros complained about dealing with placement matches. The problem being, this change makes it near impossible for players in the bronze-gold region to rank up at all. Because of the "hidden skill" level, linear, or even consistently slowing progress is impossible at any way, regardless of your individual skill because the first win/losses of the season FULLY lock your progress for that entire season. In the long term this basically means that the only players who will ever be retained, are the highest preforming ones, who have been spoonfed- a high RP gain/loss ratio all the way back up to their current rank. every, single, season. And as more high rank players tire of playing only to get back to their current rank and never higher, and as ubisoft gradually loses ALL newer/low rank players, the game will die.
On console the only competition I get is smurfs that love to flex a champ charm and MnK from last szn and I have the highest reputation status, why are my lobbies so cooked

It's been a long time since I've played the game, I miss the good times, but I've also forgotten what they were, after I lost 3 years worth of clips. But hearing that "OPFOR Last Op Standing" reminded me of the euphoric, electric feeling I used to get.
