Thing I noticed about this game, is that when a new player goes in - there is a very high chance that they will encounter very specific situation which has counters that would be terrible other wise. Mate loads in into his first match, plays against anti-heal build, they start healling less, next match they encounter Oni, then Legion. Then there are different chases. Newbie learns to drop pallets at Bubba match, then goes against m1 killer where they could save them more, etc etc etc. Its so damn hard to get into this game and become even like somewhat intermidiate. I doubt that it can be called a party game at this point.
@@Itz_Puxe I think devs need to decide if they want this game to be competetive or not, its not healthy for it to be in this limbo, with super complex mechanics, and competetive not being well supported. They need to make a damn decision.
same here... I've just started playing this game 2 days ago and while I'm quite fine with playing Survivor, I have huge trouble playing the Killers... I had a lot of matches, trying to find my pace and Killer which I could go along playing with. Got trolled several times (worse with The Huntress) and I have huge difficulty with edges and loops, I easily lose track of the Survivors... It really pulls down the mood and discouraging for a new player to get stuck with Expert players...
I haven't played this game is YEEAARS! But it's SO nice to know they did at least something to address hook camping by the killers! Also "Alan Watts" at 15:04. Lol.
Dude, in all seriousness. You've been an immeasurable help ever since I first started playing this game. I see that you don't have all of the chapters. Let me know which ones you need and I'll gift them on the next Steam sale.
Awwww damn man that's super generous of ya!! I haven't gotten the other survivors cause I already got most theor perks on the store already besides Cheryl Iol 😂😂
I started playing in 2023. I used this exact build for several months. I still always use adrenaline but I changed out sprint burst for Lithe because at first with sprint burst I found that I was walking around everywhere trying to save sprint burst for when the Killer was coming for me lol. If I caught it in time I would 99 it and then run everywhere until the killer was close but most of the time I would forget and accidentally use it or as I stated above I'd be slow walking everywhere to save it. With lithe there's almost always a pallet or window to vault to get the speed burst. I changed out deja vu for Windows of opportunity because it really helps me locate where I need to run when the killer comes around, and keeps me from running into a dead zone.
im not a new player, ive been playing for years consistently up until 2022 but i just got back into the game recently and realized i have no idea wtf is going on after all these updates and now i feel like a newbie again😭
Dropped this game because being a killer was getting on my nerves but some friends decided to play so I had to go surv. And damn, this game stress me the fk out. Prob cause Im really bad at suv. But Im here trying to learn how to play and be good so I can have fun with the homies
thank u so much i’ve been trying to find answers to all of these questions and i’ve been through atleast 10 videos and ur video made it so much more simpler to understand thank u so much
To clarify: You don't need to get your character to LEVEL 3, you need to get your character to PRESTIGE 3. That means you have to hit bloodweb level 50 with that survivor 3 times and then reset the bloodweb, but you do not lose anything for doing this, so there is no reason not to!
The BEST solo queue builds imo Kindred Deja vu Bontany knowledge Leader Kindred Open handed Deja vu Sprint burst Kindred Deja vu Windows of opportunity Lithe Easy to get and all perks and these perks will generally improve you on what you are supposed to do and help yourself as well as your team with you being hooked. Running kindred automatically puts you at an advantage because you can see the killer for a certain distance. But once you are hooked, the entire team can see the killer. Open handed- ace's teachable Lithe- Feing's exhausted perk Window of opportunity- Kate's teachable Sprint burst-Meg's exhausted perk
I’ve been playing this game for like a while. And I really like it tbh. I mostly play as Nancy I used to play as Meg but now Nancy. Some times when I play the killer never notices me so I just do the gens 💀 but yeah this game is awesome
For new survivors: DO NOT USE THE SHRINE OF SECRETS Unless you are not willing to pay for the chapters or characters with auroc cells (real money) The perks that you purchase in the shrine do not get refunded if you buy the character later and 2000 shards is ridiculously expensive for a perk. That is the equivalent of leveling up from 0 to 21. You get shards slower as you level up (do the math) and you have a maximum cap on how many shards you can earn per match in the game. (10). It used to take approximately 42 hours of play to unlock a single character, and many characters have been reduced in price to make this easier to get them for free, so a single character can be as low as 4500 shards, which is further discounted during events! I have 12 and a half days of playtime at the time of writing and have only ontained 4 characters for free
I watched this vid because I have been playing exclusively killer since 2018 out of spite for the balance of the game. Now that survivors aren't overpowered I am wanting to get into it with my friends, but I've only ever played survivor in events and my MMR is putting me against P100 nurse and blight mains, making solo queue a bit... Difficult.
Been running windows/lithe/otr/kindred. I solo queue a lot and I’m not a mega gamer quite yet so I love the otr kindred combo. The other two are just a necessity to me
I'm not a mega gamer either, I would recommend swapping otr for something else though bc it means you can't do literally anything to benefit the match unless you want to be revealed, you are always better to be doing something than doing nothing. Feel free to recommend back!
Quick question, can i still use this beginner build even after playing for over 100 hours or more? Im still using this build except i swapped sprint burst for spine chill.
I've played for a few months now maybe 2 or 3. I think I'm okay on DBD but there are something I struggle ALOT with and that's looping and I know I'm not the only one struggling with that. I've watched multiple "how to loop every killer" and I guess that was my first mistake. Even I think i'm doing great sometimes, damn i get mad when i cant mindgame back. So first question > Is it smart to watch how other people loop? Or should i learn how to do it on my own? Im confused. :P My second problem is > I think about my team over doing gens maybe way to often because it's called a team for a reason, right? So I don't think it's wrong to run from the gen to help my mate, even if the gen is almost done. I run from it to rescue and heal them up with my own medkit because i just like helping people heh.. Is that wrong?
That was so much to unpack. 1. Prestige level is not a indicator of skill. Just means you play a lot. 2. Flaslight saves, aim at the lower chin. 3. Regarding gens and save, you just need to play more and develop your game sense. Hard to say wants right or wrong depending on the circumastances. 4. Looping & mind games come with time. Just try ur best.
Beginning of the video: You're probably wondering what dead by daylight is Me, having been playing the game since the days of og kit freddy and old haddonfield: Man I fucking wish For reference, I like watching guides and stuff still to this day since I like seeing how other people view the game and what they'd recommend to new people, especially since I'm in the eternal battle of trying to teach my friend how to load into a match without faceplanting into the killer in the first 20 seconds lol
@@StArkyBuildZ It was definitely entertaining and fairly informative haha, I'm probably going to get my friend to watch it and hope it helps her understand the mechanics of the game a bit more since she mostly struggles with retaining the random spattering of stuff I try and teach her xP
The part about this game that annoys the soul out of me is when a teammate hears the terror radius they just instant hide in a locker until the killer is across the map. Watched a player do this for 2 minutes while his teammate was being chased on his side of the map. 2 whole minutes while I did a gen in front of him and moved on to the next.
What's wrong with hiding in locker and letting killer come check a gen find nothing, waste time and go in a different direction? You can head back to work on that gen and killer wasted 15 seconds checking out a random gen with nothing to show for it
@@Exhalted1 considering I was 10 feet from him while killer was chasing someone else and he hid in a locker the entire time I did the gen. Either a bot without the (bot) or afk. Either way happens 1/5 games. Fucking console players without a headset I swear.
is there a way to see which perks are unlocked for all survivors? Because I used to play a few years ago before you needed to prestige to unlock the perks.
WARNING...NEW PLAYERS! DONT PLAY THIS MEAT GRINDER GAME....ITS FAR TOO GRINDY FOR NEW PLAYERS....ESPECIALLY SURVIVERS...It would take2-3 years of grinding to unlock all the perks....NOT WORTH IT....
Best survivor perks in the game are the free ones. The best killers are the free ones.itll literally take at most 2 months to prestige 1 every person or killer and then just buy from the shrine each week. Don't have to buy anything but a new character every now and then and you don't even have to do that. So many characters I didn't have to pay for cause I just bought from the shrine.
