@geraldhoffpauir4058: Naw, man. When you're havin' life issues is exactly when you SHOULD play, dude. That's how/when you learn to play the Blues with feeling! Don't try to do anything complicated, just work on making sounds... like a root plus flat 7th. Try it using different strings, until you get the sound you want. Try bending one or both strings. Once you get a sound you're liking,' then just try "resolving" to a different note (or even a pair of notes). You might be surprised at what you come up with! I'm my case, if I do it for a little bit, then I come up with some awesome lead improvisations.
