By some of your replies in the comments it looks like you are aware that this video isn't helpful anymore since the Minecraft client has been REMOVED FROM THE OCULUS RIFT STORE. You would have less angry people here if you actually changed the title to reflect that this is obsolete, put something in the description, or leave a pinned comment saying that this no longer works. Lots of options :)
I've been trying to tell people how they call still play Bedrock VR by using a custom shortcut, but either youtube or DiamondVR is deleting my comments.
I’ve ran into Diamond VR a couple times now setting up my quest 2 and he has the easiest tutorials to follow along with. Definitely my go to for VR information
Thanks for the help, the tutorial was really clear. Most tutorials I have to constantly restart and rewind but here I had to once (I stared into space)
@@LunaticStruggler I'm an epic gamer. Just not with childish 8 bit blocky games that look like the graphics from 1980's Castle Wolfenstein where you run around mining pixel minerals hahaha.
Big Important tip if you are trying to pair and it the launch is gray make sure you do these Developer mode is on. Both your pc and the your oculus quest is up to date & Oculus PC App You have the Pc and the Oculus Quest on the same Network.
Hey, I don't want to risk getting marked as a spambot by youtube for pasting the same comment everywhere, but you can still play Bedrock in VR by creating a new custom shortcut on your desktop. Just put the following in the Location prompt: minecraft://Mode/?OpenXR=true If you need more detailed instructions, I left 'em in a bunch of other comments on this video.
I love your content, it is so straight to the point. It's as if I never had to skip past advertisements or just bear through all the noise in the background. Truly epic
Hi, I was wondering if you could maybe make a more clear video with better instructions because it wouldn't show up in my steam VR home even though I did it correctly.
The Minecraft app is no longer on the Oculus store, but you can still play Bedrock in VR by creating a custom shortcut on your desktop, and pasting the following for the shortcut's Location: minecraft://Mode/?OpenXR=true (Step-by-step instructions in replies!)
@@squalycactus You have to make a custom shortcut that will launch Bedrock in VR mode. I'll paste in instructions: Right-click your desktop. New > Shortcut. In the Location box, copy in the following: minecraft://Mode/?OpenXR=true Name your shortcut whatever you want and confirm. In Oculus Link on your headset, open up your PC desktop. Double-click the shortcut, and Bedrock should launch in VR mode. To get it working properly, I also had to set Oculus to be the active OpenXR runtime. This can be done in the Oculus windows app: Settings > General > OpenXR Runtime > Set Oculus as Active. While you're at it, probably best to turn on Unknown Sources in the same Settings > General page. (Fingers crossed this comment doesn't get auto-deleted as spam because I pasted a bunch of stuff in.)
@@Daistura I can't be of much help with that, sorry. I'm pretty new to VR. I have had a similar issue in Walkabout Mini Golf running on the Quest 2 itself, where I was super short for some reason. I was able to fix that by redrawing my guardian boundary (even though it still appeared to be fine) then restarting the game.
i might get a pc soon very excited to play minecraft with it on vr and other stuff but can you play with someone on a game without a vr like they play on their concel and i play on my vr on the same game
Do you need a link cable? Like I have downloaded Java, I have Minecraft Java edition, I have the oculus software, steam vr and vivecraft ready. But when I open steam vr on steam it says connect vr to computer even though I’m on air link so do I need a cable for it?
It will run, but performance will be pretty lackluster unless you tinker with the settings. Bear in mind that the bare minimum is supposed to be the GTX 1060.
So Nexus Link Wireless VR Gaming Bridge has 2 ethernet ports. Can both ports be used simultaneously/wired to gaming PCs on each, and both PCs using Quest 2 respectively via Wireless without such problem?
when i go to the oculus pc app it ask me air link (wireless) or link (cable) whne i click air link it tells me to put on my headset and enable air link in settings, i did that and it wont link i dont even know how to get in the oculus pc app
@@Diamond_VR Yes and tbh , Minecraft was the only reason I purchased a quest. My friend showed it to me but he's grandfathered in I guess like you. I just wanted to walk around in my realm.
How much MBPS do you think is enough for air link to run smoothly? Because I have a BEEFY pc and 500 mbps and I think it SHOULD run fine (I’m also on LAN)
@@V6Cardoso That is true think like this Wifi goes to your pc thats called connection, and for your Oculus to connect to your pc its not the same as connection so its basically how far away you are from your PC if u are far away it will be laggy and so on if u are close it will be very good and smooth depending on your PC Specs.
The sad truth is it will be 3-5 years until i can buy a gaming pc, and by then i might not like minecraft, or a brand new way of playing vr will be around and this will be outdated
