I think I prefer the version of electronic banking they used to advertise in the UK. It was basically a card reader, but I do think you being able to enter specific values definitely helped.
The first Monopoly Electronic I bought was amazing it worked like a card reader and you added or subtracted money depending on the action. The game play of this Monopoly Super Electronic Banking is weird, a shorter version of a regular monopoly since it's only 2 color set per area unlike the original 3 properties. Say bye to the train stations now it's a move anywhere slot and it creates some bizarre games that me and my family just couldn't agree with and got bored of it. We just went back to the original Monopoly.
and that's what's so interesting and weird with all of the special editions and edits that hasbro and co have been putting out as of late, they're that willing to try weird and different things on this fossil of a game that seems to just be able to weather any storm, so they aren't likely to lose out too much on them considering some folks love monpoly that much that they'll try new things
I also like the classic more...every bord side has travel anywhere and a hanshake mark and less properties i dont like this kind of version, to fast and boring....
It's really nice to automate a lot of it. I'd like this version with regular monopoly, having the game remember who owns what and scanning the cards so that you don't even have to type in amounts.
A variant of this game that I came up with: If you pass GO using the flight space, collect $200. You can trade once per turn after moving and/or when forced to do so.
I remember owning one of these, though the electronic banking machine looks more like a calculator than anything. I saw tons of commercials of this particular concept with the "Price Tag" song being played.
I wish they made the classic Monopoly, but with electronic banking. I don't like the way this one plays out that much. Electronic banking by itself would make the game quicker and more fluid by accelerating transactions, but without oversimplefying it.
i wanna see a version of this with a proper monopoly board but just with the bank cards. it makes it impossible to cheat money from the bank when no one is looking.
They used to have that. Each player had a card with raised bumps to identify them. The bank machine had two slots, one for spending, and the other for earning. You'd just stick your card in the appropriate slot, punch in how much you wanted to transfer, and the machine would keep track of how much each player had. It didn't keep track of each individual property or actions taken through the game. It only handled money.
the fact that they keep changing the win conditions and end conditions of monopoly tells me that they know the problems with charlie darrow's game, and yet they continue selling the original
This is perfect for the new generations. They will know that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
This is a step forward for Monopoly but it is much more quicker and streamlined playing on PC or Smartphone App assuming all players have the same app and device, you don't have to worry about moving any pieces, it worked well for Chess in the same manner
If you want more randomness, then you can add a 2nd 🎲 and add these rules: Instead of rolling a 6 to get out of Jail, you can roll doubles. If you roll doubles for anything else than getting out of Jail, you go again. Watch out, because if you roll 3 doubles in a row, instead of completing your 3rd turn, you go straight to Jail!
Maybe you can include the second dice 🎲 just for getting out of jail, because the game only comes with one dice because the board is slightly smaller than normal
Technically, the machine can't distinguish who bids or who the winner of the auction is, it just keeps track of the price and takes from whoever uses their card. Therefore, it is technically possible to set up an auction, bid several times so the price gets really, really high and then steal another player's card to use it and make them suffer. Of course, you're probably gonna end the game and lose a few friends along the way.
Combine this with the cheaters edition, you now can secretly cheat by using someone else's bank card somehow or undoing the previous transaction thing or whatever
The super electronic banking is not fun and I do not recommend it. With the banking, you can't do cool things like get a chance card and grab the flying cash
Worst Monopoly I ever played. Houserules are not allowed due to the nature of the system. Gives so less control to the player with the smaller board that it's almost as self-playing as Life.
En mi monopoly igual a ese dice advertencia este juego produce destellos y esos mismos destellos son de la unidad bancaria así que tapa bien la luz con una tarjeta bancaria que no esté en uso
