I used a night Scythe the other day in my first ever tournament. 😀 It's Invasion Beams ability let's it pick up a friendly unit within 6 inches at the end of the fight phase without needing the Chronomancer 👍

These units with a plasmancer in canoptic and Tesla carbines made me fall in love with heavy intercessors. Battleline with T6 W3 and a 2 + save against damage 1 is crazy. Especially because i run them with Ferrios, giving them that 5+ fnp. Watching what ended up being 32 hits come in from 10 of them only put two wounds on a single gravis marine was funniest thing on earth. My mate was fuming! Just a perspective from being on the other end of them.

Yeah anything with a 2up save will absorb a lot of no or low ap attacks. If you spike your saves you're laughing! We always try to direct tesla and similar onto units with a 3up save or worse

Ive been poking around with the nightscythe for a 20 warrior bomb with plasmancer. Just wanted to note that the nightscythe can scoop within 6 in fight phase innately, so the chronomancer is unnecessary. You can set it up turn one and drop the unit in range and fish with conquering tyrant for free rerolls for 5+ ap1 lethals. 20 with immortals, 40 with reaper warriors.

Related, would the within half range reroll on conquering tyrant be per model or per unit. Cause if it's per unit tachyon arrow overlord has some interesting interactions.

Yes you can absolutely do it without the chrono. 20 warriors is a big pts investment but those lethals do stack up. Will give this a try for sure, thank you!

​​@@ryanodoherty4090 yes, but it's on necrons model, you put it on the nightscythe. (Edit) nvm, characters only. I've not got to play yet, and learning from the app is iffy.

The Obeisance Phalanx is such an underrated detachment. I do slightly disagree with Canoptek Court being their best detachment, in fact I think Immortals work supremely well in any detachment (except the Annihilation Legion) but for different reasons - in the Awakened Dynasty the Conquering Tyrant stratagem works very well and can be backed up with Undying Legions and their +1 to hit when led, the Obeisance Phalanx has the dirty Translocation Shroud/Chronomancer + Enslaved Artifice combo you mentioned and the Hypercrypt Legion give the Immortals unrivalled redeployment. The Rerolls to hit are very nice in the Canoptek Court is great though but it really depends who you’re fighting against. All in all Immortals are just a must take battleline unit in any of my games, they just always have really good potential whatever game I play.

Unfortunately you can’t drop Immortals out of a Night Scythe and then shoot and scoot them back into the same one as the Scythe needs to move a minimum of 20” each turn so they’ll be out of range in the shooting phase. Not sure it’s worth taking 2 of them to have them swap two units for the pick up later in the round.

а Оверлорд с фазовым сдвигом +криптек +отряд солдат может через руину телепертироваться ? читал в коментариях что так нельзя ковчег духов вмешает всего 10 воинов и 1 лидера ? то есть если будет 10 воинов+Оверлорд+ криптек то такой отряд в ковчег уже нельзя его поместить? а ковчег так и не разрешили брать 20 воинов и лидера?

Я не вижу никаких проблем с тем, что эти отряды проходят через руины в правилах! Да, Ковчег просто нехороший отряд. Он может взять только 10+ лидера, что не позволяет использовать криптеков! Надеюсь, это хорошо для вас переводится.

There's a few other reason to take it with the combos we discus with the strats and night scythe but -2 would of been unreal.

You CANNOT disembark and re-embark with the same unit on the same turn.

Yes you can. What you cannot do is disembark and embark in the same phase. The core rules are very specific about this.

@@WorHammer40k nope. The rules are very clear. It says that you can board a transport at the end of a normal, advanced or retreat movement. The chronomancer movement is none of the three but an extra-turn movement. Ergo you cannot embark until the end of the movement phase.

'Translocation Beams: At the end of the Fight phase, if there are no models currently embarked within this TRANSPORT, you can select one friendly NECRONS INFANTRY unit wholly within 6" of this TRANSPORT. @@sameada Do you have a link to an alternative ruling page? Were reading Wahapedia here: 'EMBARK If a unit makes a Normal, Advance or Fall Back move, and every model in that unit ends that move within 3" of a friendly TRANSPORT model, they can embark within it. A unit cannot embark if it has already disembarked from a TRANSPORT model in the same phase. Remove the unit from the battlefield and place it to one side - it is now embarked within that TRANSPORT model. Also just reread the rules for transports and the wording for the Chronomancer, yeah that combo is 100% legal and absolute filth.

Even better that you dont even need the chronomancer because the night scythe has it built in that it can scoop up a unit at the end of the fight phase!
