I was learning this defence for sometime. You have totally made me relearn everything again. Liking your step by step explanation of each move and options available and counterplay. Looking forward to more on this defence and kings Indian defence.. A speedrun would be exciting. Thanks
@@AlexBanzea Thank you for all the great content. It helped me score my biggest win so far in the chess league (90+30). A lil rookie FIDE 1539 playing as black vs. 1942 😂 We've got no more team matches till October - which I kind of like because it gives me a chance to improve my game more with your upcoming course in ~August.
I enjoyed that game against the 1975 rated player where you sacked an exchange and pushed the ‘a’ pawn to victory. Hard to believe your are not a GM. Would have loved to see playing against the Pirc from the white side. I (rating of 1600) encounter players in the intermediate level (1600-1800) play Pirc in the OTB English league.
Hey man I'm learning more from your videos than pretty much any other online content, really great videos keep it up and your channel will surely explode soon!
Hello from France. I have not yet watched the video but I want to say you "Thank you". I added a commentary in a last video / post about pirc and you share a video about it. Very cool!!!
11:10 it’s possible to take on e4 to put d5 (destroying the center) but it’s way too risky to do it before castling. If white takes f7 then Rxf7 then h6 to avoid Ng5.
Excited to watch but the move order I get into the pirc is 1.e4 Nc6 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 Nf6 4.Nc3 g6 the knight goes on c6 really early but theres no f3 or f4 attacks cause their Nf3 is blocking it :)
@@AlexBanzea On d4 there's mainly 2...d5 and 2...e5. I prefer e5 but it has some problems like 3.dxe5 when black has lost a lot of center control or 3.Nf3 transposing back into a Scotch. But I think that white usually does 2.Nf3 thinking that black plays 2...e5 transposing back into mainlines, but instead we play d6 there. 1...Nc6 is just still my favorite opening so I still play it but I might start learning something like the French again soon because of some of the problems Nc6 has.
A lot of players are so focused on playing Bc4. It is their bread and butter it seems, yawn. You have a new follower on Lichess today. Greetings from DD.
