Anybody still reading these comments? My first show was at Ventura fairgrounds, June 87. I was brand new to the Dead and did not know what to expect. I went to all three shows that weekend. On Saturday, they played Row Jimmy. It was at that moment that the heavens opened and I was hooked. I highly recommend looking up that recording. It is phenomenal! Kind on…

I've always done the riff in the middle octave between the 7th and 9th frets on the A, D and G strings. Good to see some alternatives though.Thanks.

Love the lesson and channel man, but you have a lil booboo at the 13:11 mark. You say and play the right thing on the low part of the riff, but your graphic shows a G on the low E string, when I think it should be an F#.
