@PathofTitans #dinosaurs #pathoftitans #ps5 #gaming Path of titans on ps5, This video should help you play against many Dinosaurs as you will see in video. Please stop bone breaking just to bone break, you lose too much dps.
@giespeace6602 most players are casual. It's great after a long day at work to login, pick up 23 flowers or so and then get mauled by 4 Megs, 3 EO's 2 Sty's a Spino and 13 Ducks.
Yeh tell me about it. I have a love hate relationship with this game lol been enjoying playing as conc with two friends recently. Been killing loads of things. We try and target the mix packs at the main areas
I'm very glad RU-vid's algorithm decided to push your content my way today, 'cause as someone who's been trying to break into the Apex crowd this is very helpful. I'm glad to see the swivel-turn you did several times on the Allo n' Sty (I don't think it's called that, but it's when you start turning one way and cut to the opposite direction, catching them dead in the face), so many people just turn one way, it's depressing. But my favourite bit was the list you made for match-ups when playing on a Rex; that is very helpful and will help a lot of people, definitely include one for any future dinosaurs you cover.
Thank you for your feedback! I will keep up with the charts for all future video's. If you have any other questions please comment! - Precise Turning i believe is what you're referring to. If i had 1 subscriber for every time i was fighting someone who only turned 1 direction.... id have more than Mr.Beast 😂
I would love to see a more in depth exploration of these mixpacks and why they exist like they do. Nobody really goes into depth on the issues of mixpacking, why it is bad, and why it is so popular to see, especially on official servers. I didn't even realize how obnoxious they could be until I saw you attack that Allo and then out of the woodwork logs in 15 of his friends.
I've accidentally been roped into a mega pack once before Gondwa released I didn't know they were a mixed mega pack until I got to SLL but I stayed to see what they were about. It's getting a reaction out of you- they kept talking about baiting in global to get more people to lure into the meat grinder for shits and giggles; lying about their numbers so they can jump you. They'll say things like "1v1 me @ hotspot" or "we own this hotspot!". They don't care about anything else then seeing people seethe and spew toxic salty tears in chat. Only advice I can give is to starve them of attention; do not engage in chat if you suspect them of this behavior. If you do fight them in person somehow, do your best to survive. Running is perfectly acceptable and there is nothing to prove in a sandbox-y game like this. Just don't stoop to their level.
Just DL the game. I think mix packs are a combo of a few toxic things.heres my exp& what happened to a brand new player. It started great. Sneaking and questing solo allo, then found a home cave and for about 8 hrs got home base camped by mix packs, it was pretty dumb. Can't out run or fight 5v1 as a baby newb..then I escaped and a mix pack accepts me at the end of all that(the only one to not KOS) and helps me quest..so I have to repay their help by fighting when needed. So basically toxic behavior made a toxic solution..or it's a chicken vs the egg thing. I'll leave it and stay away from the home caves. That's where I was surviving fine... given how mix packers fight , new players are prob mix packing to have a chance from being targeted by campers. Deinonycus was the most fun to evade camper packs. They should mark players with multi juvy kills outside a home base on the map as campers for 30 min..and ban mix packing..when I finally escaped my cave I watched from a bush for a while.they lured new dinos out with a packy being friendly then killed the juvy that followed it to its group rinse and repeat. No eating either....they also hid when a big trike or carnivore came out..
Mix packing forces mix packing for survival. The issue is that it's difficult to address. But it isn't a chicken egg, it's been prevalent in any game like this. I personally see no issue if a few little baby dinos are cozing up to a rex for safety, then break off at adult hood. The issue comes when they become adults and stay
They were all getting toxic on global meanwhile our boi doing 10000 iq gameplay and safelogging😂😂 I loved the way you made the right decisions couldn't have handled it any better and also sad seeing half server against you😢
Mix packs really do just ruin the game in my opinion. You shouldn't have to prepare for a sudden wave of random dinos to hunt you down after you attacked their discord buddy. The devs refuse to acknowledge it as an actual issue and wont add any counter measure to help prevent it. Sure, its not against any rules on ruleless officials, but its heavily implied that you aren't supposed to be doing that by not letting herbs and carnis group to begin with. Its just cheese. God forbid you actually have a fair fight once in a while. Community server are often annoyingly restrictive with rules or loaded with mods that shake up the balance of the game too much. I want officials to be fun again. Every play session ends with a 15v1 against mix packers.
Once im affiliated i plan on starting a community server just for my subscribers. The rules will be minimal. My aim is to have 12 group slots strictly followed and that's basically it.
@@KenTheGent Sounds awesome. I may get back into the game if there was a server like that. A slight increase in growth per quest probably wont kill anything either lol
Hey Ken! It’s me Delrey, thanks for letting me know about your channel. This video is awesome ! Would enjoy playing with you brother. You rock on Rex. I absolutely hate those massive discord groups. I’ve honestly stopped playing Rex due to dealing with kos sweaty discord lemmings.
Hey this video is really helpful! I’ve been looking for a video like this for a while since I’ve definitely been finding rex challenging. The turn radius is the hardest thing to manage but when played right rex can be a bunch of fun. Awesome video!
I had like 4 more solid video clips but im trying to reduce the length of the video's to make them more digestible haha. Im glad this helped! See you on the battlefield!
@@Carnosaur290 just a note, i liked this idea but my pc is getting over crowded with too much video haha so ill probably go out of my way to just record fighting on a bunch of random dinosaurs and delete as i make video's. i suck at organizing
The Rex is in a weird spot now where a lot of the dinos it can catch, are the really slow ones like the Eotrike that can win the face tank battle whereas the ones that cannot win the facetank battle simply just outrun it or tail ride it easily.
Agreed, they should change the hides so you can build an actual fast but weaker rex or slow and tanky. A rex with -10% defense but 20% speed would be fun, on the flip side -10% speed but gain 20% defense.
@@KenTheGent I think that's why I enjoy the PT Rex more. It feels much faster because of the ambushing which rewards sneaking up to people. I agree with your suggestion. The Rex's turn rate is already hilariously bad so I don't see why the light hide hurts your turn radius. It really should affect your defense.
IMO they should’ve kept rex how it was before the update, there was nothing wrong with it. Still, even after the update there are a lot more unaware people in the game than you would think so killing things on rex is relatively easy. Most people would see a rex and not worry about it because it’s slow but if you have crushing bite and they look away for a second you can just run up and bone break them and they’re dead. 🤣
It’s Incredibly Hard To Find Fair Fights On Official Servers W All The Mixpacks / Mega Packs Lol- I Was Surprised When I Saw The Duck And Bars On The Challenge List But Then Again It All Depends On The Player! Amazing Video It Was Nice To Listen In To Someone Else’s Perspective.
As a new player I decided on the Rex as my first Dinosaur and I gotta say, that I find it hard to play without my friends. Mostly because I feel like the Rex has power, but with how slow it is I can’t even run. I’m forced to take on any fight, despite not having a chance. That said - love the video and it has made it easier for me to get a better fighting experience. Thank you !
Few extra tips- Don't sprint around you make way more noise and won't have stamina when you need it. It will also allow you to hear better and you can sneak up on people if need be. But as a new player i would recommend watching my best solo dino video on the pycno.
Yessir you need to make more of these for all dinos! I like how you talk about the sub species you use or should be used and why which most people don't talk about at all and go over the skills you use and why. Great video make more! Please!
It's true, lately ypu can't fight anyone without their friends hopping on to fight you. The second they find a way to stall the fight, you already know they've alerted friends. Best way I've found was to make a quick kill or escape after dealing damage.
It would be really cool for you to make videos on how to fight with amargasaurus with its new aoe and spino I think more people should know how to fight properly with them and I really like them so it would be nice to give them some time in the spotlight
Excellent gameplay! I used to be a Rex main before the nightstalker update because it was the 1v1 king but seeing how youre still making it work I will have to try it out again.
Hey ken i bet u dont remember this but u saved my rex or eo can’t remember but u were a meg and u saved ys from a pack of megs at bql just wanted to say thx again for it
I was a rex main before the update i dont really play it anymore but i will have to try it agian im not really a fan of dying so i just keep it incase theres like a eo thats blocking my growth on another dino
Man those mix packs are ridiculous when you’re playing a sub or adult rex. Got my first dino to adult today, a rex of course, and was an adult for a whole minute before I was jumped by a bunch of pachys and an EO. Didn’t have the combat experience to fend them off and I’ve heard the rex has been nerfed to hell lately so it’s just a walking trophy. It’s not fun right now so after getting him to adult again and setting him in a cave I’ve decided to just grow something else for now.
Doesn't make sense the rex gets a damage mitigation or tyrants which is a 10% damage buff when the EO gets better mobility, high damage charge, 5% passive damage increase and sharpen horns which doesn't require grouping and increases damage by 30%
@@KenTheGentYeah that’s just flat out ridiculous. I went against by better judgement and decided to try it again last night after getting a little more knowledge on the rex. It was me and a dasp versus a kento, campo, and baby chicken. They killed my dasp friend twice, I managed to kill the campo and chicken but that damn kento player was really good so I barely escaped with my life to the HC against it. I’m sure we got him low but he had too much stamina. I assumed I had the advantage against it but it didn’t seem so. Couldn’t land a single bite on it except for when it was focusing dasp.
@@KenTheGent I’m sure you’ll find one. Your videos are very helpful. I binge watched a lot of them last night. Definitely going to show them to my brother who’s just getting into the game. Thanks for making awesome content!
About the mix pack me and my friends mix pack but we usually do that in a area to help others grow babies or to just chill and when we do go on trophy hunts we usually hunt as the same Dino or at the very least the same diet
good video, Thx for that :) as a solo player i like the "small" bone break ability, as it is a lot of Xv1 not 1v1 and i feel more "polyvalent" with it. Why would you recommend the charged bone break over the fast one ? Just a small detail but, i think stego is a EZ PZ for a TRex, (or maybe i only see bad ones), one fast bone break and spam bite, balanced stego die in a matter of seconds
The charged one only needs 1.5 seconds of charge for you to use. Buy it gives you the option of charging longer to hinder opponent longer. Both breaks share the same cooldown though.
I've been told time and time again crushing bite is better than bone snap for rex secondary bite. Might wanna try a video comparing the bites in battle? Or have you tested that out already and found bone snap to be better? If so how and why pretty please?
Crushing bite deals less damage and less bonebreak time. It is however "Quick". BoneSnap deals slightly more damage ( Not much) but if you charge it up you will break apexs for 30 seconds+. With bonesnap you can do a quick release by only charging for 1.5 seconds.
I just got this game on ps5 and made a Rex. It's been a few days with many deaths and delayed playing cuz of my new born baby. Yet I made it to adolescent! Still pushing to try and get to sub adult and adult. This combat guide really helps thanks.
@@KenTheGent I figured out how that worked last night after logging out for about a day and finally getting to adolescent. I would get so close then kos... set back... two or three times in a row. I'm really having fun, going to try and find some friends soon. Learning where to look for stuff is a learning curve. Got into pvp a few times with adolescent and did decent damage, enough to get away some times. I'm going to look through all your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
I definitely believe that a stego is very difficult to handle for beginners. I’ve seen a stego take on 2 rexes and win. So i would put it with eo and spino and the rest of very difficult bunch.
Could you tell me if the ability you have in your legs is Charge and when you recommend using it because I have seen several videos of yours and I never see you using it...
If you catch your opponent sitting or resting is when i use it. It's a rare opportunity but if you catch them sleeping until they are out of the standing animation they take 4x damage.
Neither does much damage and they both share the same cooldown afterwards, but the charged bone break can be used quickly or held until you get the correct position. I personally use the charged bonebreak because i like to control when i bite as much as possible.
@@KenTheGent I used to roll with the charged bone break, but have since swapped to the quick one to test it out. From what I’ve learned, the charged one is better suited for dealing with larger opponents, whilst the quick one is for smaller ones
@frostycanine1382 the charged bonebreak can be used like a short one though. You only have to charge it for like 1.5 seconds. But really it's what you're comfortable with!
On that grand plains battle i would most definitely make my way to the cave system near where you were and narrow them down, i do this a lot when i fight on grand plains, works every time
@@KenTheGent yes, its narrow enough so numbers wont mean shit for a time and has multiple exits, go around grand plains and look for yourself its there
I play in a mixpack but only because that’s the only way to survive on officials but that mixpack was disgusting, half the server as one big mixpack is just overkill
Yes, the tail is vital especially if something chases you through water. Dont forget rex has a long enough breath hold you can safe log under water. Also i use charge specifically when an enemy is sitting or laying to catch them off guard. Its base damage is 80 just like the bite but if you catch them sitting its 160 laying is 320 assuming they are the same combat weight. But it does have a cooldown so keep that in mind. The knockback is kinda useless imo, but the bonebreak healing speed could help in some situations. It's whichever you prefer really.
@@KenTheGentgood to know I was actually planning to ask what situation you would use the charge since you never used it in the video and I was curious
@@KenTheGent that makes sense, I had at one point actually swapped it out because I never used it but at the same time I don't get hit by bone break or knock back much either
My Rex got bone breakers by this bipedal sauropod looking thing and I still won despite missing the majority of my attacks EDIT-the benefits of having increased turn radius
@averycheesypotato but just imagine running in fear cause you hear pap pap pap pappappap coming at you from the bushes because it's a slapasaurus Rex. But yeah the arms need something. Even if it's just to carry things
I do dislike how herbis are generally low skill high reward which for me is just something I dislike in a pvp game so I generally like to play carnis cause of there more risky playstyle as they can’t just factank for the majority of them unless there fighting something very small like a bby or a small Dino.
In 1400 hours of gameplay I've seen maybe 3 lambeo solo players. They are difficult to bonebreak, can heal and they have a large stamina pool making it difficult. But yes typically if you see a lambeo it has someone nearby to help and it tends to be an apex.
@@KenTheGent Hmm I figured they'd be very hard in groups, just couldn't discern if the tier list was factoring in other variables. Lambs feel kind of rare to encounter from my end, too. I play solo, avoid hotspots and pick my battles so had no idea. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me!
I view most fights as math problems, the raptors can kill you for sure but they have to be right 40-50 times with timing and strategy where as the rex only needs to be right 1 time with a stomp.
I prefer the charged bone snap over the quick bone break as it has a longer duration if landed. I also use charge but only if im catching an opponent sitting because you do have a cooldown after using it. I don't recommend the legs because knockback and bonebreak healing isn't as useful to me. Id rather have the occasional opportunity to catch an opponent off guard. Keep in mind charge and bite both do 80 base damage unless they are sitting which doubles and laying 4x damage
You can use the charged bonebreak by only holding it for 1.5 seconds. They share the same cooldown also. You can catch players off guard though with the fast one as it makes a sound they aren't ust to hearing
Iggy is on the list to cover! At the moment i don't have plans for modded dino's since i don't play community servers and i don't want to mislead player's on how to use dino's i don't know how to use. Once im affiliated i would like to start a community server with the ad revenue though so hopefully soon i can add them in.
@@KenTheGent - for a mobile, graphics aren't bad, although not near as beautiful as pc. Mobile movement, view, and combat controls are horrendous and the devs really will burn in a special place in hell for being the type of cruel people to force mobile players to be on servers with PC and console players. Such a simple thing to have separate severs, such a disrespectful thing to their mobile customers to not do that easy thing. Lol, yeah. Mentioning the mobile controls will draw a rant from me. Anyway, thanks for the vid and reply.
@Texas240 The Devs will improve but the only way they improve is with feedback. I know a few people on their team watch my videos since they commented on an older video of mine so hopefully they take note!
@@KenTheGent indeed, the Spino was given traction so Y was the Rex overlooked, and even as traction currently stands i'd probably put it on even with the negatives cause of how desperately the rex needs turn radius speed.
This game can be fixed from mixpacking !! I hope Alderon games listen now !! 1: the same species can only team up,(so if a trike attacks a carno , Only another trike can do that , if a Kentro wants to join , he can not do any damage because of the fight-meter is between the carno and the two trikes etc… 2: the species that win that fight Will have a ”Healing time after that til 100% so he can defend itself again or Escape ! If the game is like this all the mix packning idiots Will stopp and this game Will be 100% 3: the one that kills another adult Will have the trophy automatic and then thoose to keep it or give away to ONLY another of the same (T-Rex to t-Rex etc …this will the mixpacking community also hate 🤣😂👌😎🥂🥂🥂 Cheers 🍻
They won't do any of that, it would be complicated to code and implement while being confusing for the general playerbase. They just need to add solo servers or disable the join friend button and make people group before finding a server
Would disagree with anklyo and kentro being ez bc it just takes brains to beat a rex anky bunker down op and kentro bleed when you bite them can be good if they run away heal and do it again. And you on ps5 if so wanna play sometime I like to pvp but sucks solo.
A skilled bars player has no counters in a 1v1 and you should still avoid fighting them even if your confident your gonna win If your hungary you might as well try
Bars has the largest health pool in the game but has an absurd cooldown on tail slam. 1 bonebreak and you can side ride the bars into oblivion! Remember to bonebreak a bars from the side, not behind as it will register as a tail hit.
A dasp is ez? Id think if hes running bb he could be dangerous or without and heavy bite. Hes so fast now but i assume even rex tail mist hurt him alot and thats why? Ive seen 2 dasps kill a rex easily in a field with bb and speed.
I did make a video prior to me having an editing setup. It was also when Ano's were much stronger if you're interested. It's called How to deal with 2 Anodontosaurus
Bite the ano as he is attacking you, once the Ano crouches you have 9 seconds to bite. At 10 seconds they enter hunker and you barely deal damage. So stop biting and use tail attack to hit him but avoid being hit by his tail. Eventually he will stand out of hunker and run. That's when you finish the Ano.
A good lamb knows to not let a rex in range. Making them a tough kill, also you have to bonebreak from the side because if you're directly behind it will count as a tail hit. More challenging on a dasp than rex but a challenge still
i dont understand how people like the allo and the 5 other guys have fun doing that...instead of going for the fun fight (like allo + styra, even if this is still mix packing and dumb...) they go for the easy boring fight at 6 with a dino that can solo you (the eo) that give no proudness or personal achievement...Am i weird ?
Idc about mixpacking but my god the huge packs are the worst and they always talk the most shit like they did something when they really just dog piled with numbers. Theyre slightly worse than the baby killers who bag and talk shit
Discord chats or very large playstation parties. I infiltrated a group called Legion before and they would have 12+ people in a playstation party or discord communicating. They aren't organized, its usually 1 or 2 decent players that yell at everyone to shut up when they see a dino and then they focus the solo player and then go back to talking about their non sense or arguing.
It also doesn't help you can have people searching multiple servers and then have the majority of players all click to join the 1 player that finds some dino's
I literally get spawn killed 24/7. The game isn't fun as a solo player. AT ALL. played 3 hours with 0 progress cause everyone's in a group killing whatever they see. There's never been a more toxic game.
Put Kentro as easy....then again this video came out before Kentro was buffed i think?? Or maybe not. But Kentro nowadays can pretty much clap almost anything, pretty funny Also yea he realized it himself but the Allo draining his stamina wasnt smart...he was just making a poor decision by chasing a Speed Allo lmao at that point stand your ground or next time realize that doesnt work and dont even try
Did you miss when i killed the spino then Eo back to back? With the duck you just land a bonebreak and then bite. Although its supposed to have an update soon to its abilities. With the bar it's a defense only dino. If its being aggressive just bite its head and when it turns walk away. Otherwise bonebreak from the side and side ride the bar.
Just know as a Rex every other Dino is going to be racist towards you. They do not want you to grow so I recommend playing with a friend or a group of people.
This is a classic example of why normal players do not like path of titans !!!! Because trash players like these people that have massive packs and it takes 15 people to attack one!!!path of titans needs to buff solo players, massive debuff groups !!! Each different Dino that hits a solo player getting attacked should get a 30% debuff to their attack for 3 minutes!!
