This was the most "Welcome to the game, get f*cked by dice!" intro to the game I've ever seen and I love it. Lol Didn't touch on placing models for larger battles or picking game modes/ missions, but probably the best bare bones intro there is for the time.

first time watching how its played but they really should make quick reference cards so we can easily compare between attacks and defense. maybe a blank magnet card where we can stick a quick weapon vs defense between the matchups and also a dice roll counter to keep track of the rolls. what i see is alot of memory and writeups required to keep track of everything.

I have the 9e core book and can get a couple of 8e codex for free if I want them. Is it possible to play the game this way? What are command points
@sanakhtthefatetwister9116
@sanakhtthefatetwister9116 2 года назад
@@rookhousestudios3686 Your army starts with a certain number of Command Points (CP, small games usually have 3), and you can spend CP to use Stratagems which add another layer of tactical depth to the game. Perhaps you failed an important armour save, you could spend a Command Point to reroll that save, there's also a Stratagem called Fire Overwatch which lets you shoot at an enemy unit when it tries to charge you. Every different faction has their own unique list of Stratagems available too.
