A couple other notes for valk: all of valks heavies do the same amount of damage, so don't worry about switching guard for GBs or parries. Similarly, when you land the side light wallsplat, don't change the direction of your guard, as it will sometimes make you miss. Also, after he sweep, you maintain frame advantage, so you are pretty much free to just go into your offence again. I personally like doing a buffered dodge forward light, as it is un-parryable and gets you right into your mixup Edit: a lot of this is false. The dodge light after sweep is parryable if they expect it. Also I learned that if you wallsplat with the lights and the wall is too close, any heavy will miss, so just dodge light or light for max punish if you are unsure if a heavy will land
This is nice. I am bouncing around the video and noticed that for feats, you don't really "guide" us on what is better or worse to use. It's more of an overview. If you give your understanding of each perk and explain your reasoning for your choices for your personal use or what seems objectively better, it would help us learn. Thank you!
I've always liked Valk but for the average player i wouldn't recommend her because when you go into your shield guard you can't counter the guard break even if you release it. It's a free heavy. The sweep is so predictable as well it gets avoided 95% of the attempts you throw it. The feats and perks are low tier for her character. You have to have a little patience playing her and your defense needs to be on point.
"your defense needs to be on point". Honestly feels like it might be a good point if somebody wants to get better. I just started out and personally struggle with defense. If someone overwhelms me, especially with light attacks, I find it rather difficult to recover. Recently tried out valk and had some fun playing her, she might become my second main
