Im a fan of the anime, way back during the first season onwards but I didn't pick up the cards because of the language barrier. It feels surreal to be holding english cards and finally being able to play the game! Thanks for this vid; this helped me understand the rules.
Hello Selectors! Now that the English game has been officially released, I'd like to point out a few things that I didn't get to address in the video. 1) You may notice a few card names are different than the official English ones. This is because this tutorial video was made before the official English card names were released with the card images being from a Tabletop Simulator mod. 2) On that note, I used Super Helesta Saber as an example of a piece which has the Use Timing of Attack Phase. This turned out to be a mistranslated card from the Tabletop Simulator mod as well and I apologize for this error. An example of an actual piece with the use timing of Attack Phase would be "Counter Alchemy". 3) I never mentioned where to find a SIGNI's power. A SIGNI's power is located on the bottom left of the card. 4) The jury is still out on whether the official term is "Glow" or "Grow". The rulebook and website say "Grow", but the cards say "Glow". I hope this cleared up any confusion. Thanks for watching!
I've also got a few more questions: -Can you Ener-Charge more than once per turn? -Can you battle Signi cards that aren't directly in the same column with yours?
@@Sleepy0173 1) You can not Ener Charge more than once per turn during the Ener Phase. There are card effects that allow you to ener charge outside of the ener phase. 2) You can not battle SIGNI cards that aren't directly in the same column as yours. SIGNI will only battle SIGNI that are right in front of them.
I haven't played since Season 1 in JP so I'm glad this video could be used as a refresher as well as how the 3 Lrig stuff works. I just received my White Hope and DXM decks in the mail so I can play with my friend.

Players may use cards of any color in their deck regardless of the color of their LRIG, except in the Diva Selection format, where players may only use cards of the colors of their three center or assist LRIGs. This might be useful for players who are going into earlier (japanese) formats. usually your LRIGs color does not determine the color of cards you can use in your main deck, it took me off guard a bit for the new format.
I know I'm late to the party, but I just recently learned that WiXoss finally has an English release. Thank you so much for this video! Ofcourse with its nods to the Cthulhu mythos I had to pick Ancient Surprise as my first English starter, but I still have my old Green Wanna Midoriko starter deck. Question: Can I use the older cards with this newer Diva format? Like could I use Midoriko as my center LRIG, and use the Signi and spells/arts from her deck?
In the current English game, there only exists one card with the Guard ability, Servant #. Because you can only have up to 4 copies of the same card in your deck, this means right now you can only play 4 cards with the Guard ability in your deck. If hypothetically in the future, there was another Guard card with a different name, then you could also play 4 of those too.
For glowing assist LRIGs, is it done during the main phase only? And is the LRIG deck sort of a side hand? Since it looks like you sift thru it to get the next level LRIGs, rather than draw from it
Every activate ability, Assist LRIGs, and Pieces will be main phase timing unless it specifically has attack phase on it. And yes your LRIG deck is a private zone you can utilize throughout the game. The way physical gameplay sets it up, you put your 3 starting lrig cards with their corresponding level cards under them for smooth glow transitions.
Assist LRIGs are only Glown into during the Main Phase. There are a few Assist LRIGs which can be Glown into during the Attack Phase, but they have to have the Use Timing of [Attack Phase] listed on them. The LRIG deck is kind of like a second deck(like the Extra Deck in YGO or G-Zone from Vanguard). This is where all of your LRIGs and Pieces are stored, so you can look into it at any time. The comment from abandonVP seems to explain this very well.

Are there any ratios for the main deck u would recommend to a beginner? Like how many spells or signi u should play. I suppose u play more of the lower lvl signi for the early game.
Main LRIG Grows are once per turn during the Grow Phase. Assist LRIGs can be grown as many times as you want during the Main Phase(and Attack Phase if applicable) as long as you can pay the cost and the Level to be grown into doesn't surpass your Center LRIG's level.
The Assist LRIGs can be glown into during the Main Phase. If they have the Attack Phase Use Timing on them, you can also Glow into them during the Attack Phase during the Pre-Attack and Defense steps.
Wixoss is a great game, it would had more success if they didn't focus on waifu, instead we could have dragons, demons, angels etc. It would have been more successful this way.
There are plenty of games like already and wixoss IS successfull in japan precisely because of its very specific niche. If it were yet another tcg with cyborg-dinos and magitech paladins people would just pass it off as another "yugioh/vanguard knock-off" and ignore it.
@@yesman1743 I agree, which is why non-humanoid female characters wouldn’t really fit with the rest of the game’s aesthetic (unless they’re like a terra beast or something)
