Thanks for this Florian,I'm using this to transcribe (obviously without looking at the notes you show) and learn the tune , really makes it easy. Thanks.
One of my friends sent this to me I was kind of skeptical thinking what is this but I really is great for any level saxophonist. I love the way you map out the notes for tenor and alto. I play alto and been playing 12 years. Love the video!
Hi and thanks for sharing worksong, I haven't been playing very long and now after purchasing I feel a fairly good alto saxophone get so much instruction from your playing and is also so enjoyable how you're show show fingerings. . . They're really good and interesting version's, I don't know what anyone else feels but I think that it would be nice/informative to have the finger charts up on when showing and also when you're playing it. Thanks again.
I just bought a tenor and have absolutely zero music experience.... this is awesome... I'm making something that almost sounds like music following this on my 2nd day.... however it is really hard to try and write down the notes no matter how many times I stop, pause and rewind.... and I can't read proper music.... it's there a away I can just get all the notes for this song in the way you show it on your videos... or even just a sequence of notes???.. hope you get what I mean.... thanks heaps for your passion to teach... I'm gonna try and teach myself just from your videos
Hoi Florian, geweldig hoe je ons weet te inspireren met je workshops hier op You Tube. I love it!
Next episode of a song and lick komt eraan ;)
hi , my name is jonathan I live in France and I like beacoup the work you do. I wanted to know that the software you use to we can see kes saxophone fingering image ? thank you for your answer :)
Excellent work! I’m looking for a way to show trumpet fingerings like you have shown in this video. Can you give me any tips on how you did this with software?
Hello James, working on the book, coming along slow, but coming, also working on the Work Song, I like it. One of my all time favorite song is Stanley Turrentine's Sugar, any chance of doing that song like the work song, thanks
At the end of "your own version" of a solo, you say that your solo version ends on the same note as (the simplified) Cannonball solo version. But your solo version ends (in Tenor) on a D, while the Cannonball version you show (before you present the "second part" of the simplified Cannonball version) ends (in Tenor) on a G. Was this just an error? Were you perhaps referring to the original Cannonball version? In any event, it is not at all clear, so can you clarify? (There was one place in the simplified Cannonball version where one phrase (the third you present here) ended on a D, but none of the other bits you presented for the simplified Cannonball version ended on a D, only that (third) phrase (D C Bb A Bb G D).). Thank you
do you think you could do he's a pirate off pirates of the carribean. the 90 second version with the notes, i've looked everywhere i found 1 but when playing it it seemed wrong thanks. great video aswell!
Hi, really like your teaching and really enjoy this song. I'm fairly new improvising. If I wanted to improvise around this song could you suggest some scales I might want to work with? I'm also interested in a couple of your ebooks, does the 'easy starter guide' cover much improvisation or 'would the full song improvisation program' also be suitable for a relative beginner. Cheers
If anyone is interested in playing saxophone the best success that i've had was by following the Takiras music method (i found it on google) without a doubt the most helpful system that I have ever followed.
I am pretty much a beginner, but I have no idea how to play the deepest tone at the beginning of the part at 8:48 on an alto sax :*( lesson on everzthing else is great thou
I've been practicing this but getting squeaks going from C back to the high D I think I'm getting it because the octave key is being pressed a split second earlier than the other keys so the octave vent on the neck is opening slightly coursing the squeak, so annoying :)
Hey first of all nice vid :) ty 4 that. I have a issue with the higher notes such as C' and all the notes played with the octave thingy. Is that on me or is it cuz my sax is shit? Its a noname china sax (for the beginning) its proofed by the retailer. It sounds like I step on my cats tail. Do I have to give a little bit more pressure when playing higher notes? Sry 4 my bad english btw Kind regards from germany
Hi. Ho do I suscribe? Also, you said we could ask for a song. There is one I would like to learn call Punch Drunk from Sade.Would it be possible to make a video on that last one? Thanks
