Wanted to ask what happens if your bunny tries to eat the floral bedding, is that ok?? Also if they accidentally eat the paper with it because I have a year old bunny and a little baby bunny that loves to chew or try and eat anything he can
You DO NOT need pee pads for your rabbits litter boxes!!! We are seeing rabbits coming into the office constantly from getting ill due to chewing the pee pads. Unfortunately many of them have passed away. Every single rabbit owner tells us they thought it was safe due to seeing it being promoted online social media youtube. It's not worth risking your rabbits life. Plus if your using good bedding there is no need for the pads its a huge waste of money anyway. Just because your rabbit may not be chewing them at the moment does not mean they will never chew it.
@@AshleymoonroxI personally first scatter some wood pellet (ones for pet-use) on the bottom of the litter box. Then I put a layer of paper bedding over that, followed by a thin layer of the hay that my rabbit eats. The pellets are very good at absorbing the urine and expanding, the paper bedding blocks off the pellets and provide a great texture (the pellets are hard and does not feel good to rabbits while also becoming a wet powder after getting wet), finally the layer of hay prevents my rabbit from digging into the bedding, also insulating the pee from his fur (liquids flow right pass the hay unlike the paper bedding which holds onto it). Obviously each rabbit is different, yours might be really determined in digging into that pellet, or even worse, eating it. I’ve found what works for me and my rabbit the best, I wish you can too!
4:34 - right before you zoomed in on her I noticed her posing in the back ground 😂 I took a screenshot… “it’s true” is now a new meme I plan on using ❤😂
This video is so helpful because my rabbit was litter train and it just stopped and she started going to the bathroom all around the house and it wasn’t like no big deal. I can just pick it up, but I also have two dogs so that wasn’t making it even harder that I have to put the dogs away put the rabbit away and clean it all up so this video is so helpful to make my rabbit litter trained again
I know a lot about rabbits and I’m just touching your channel now and I’m and I’m kind of liking it like the part the part of picking up the poop and putting it in the little box of very important👍🏻
Great Video. I do the same thing as you do. When I first Adopted My Son Kirby 🐰 over 2 1/2 years ago. I bought a Stroller, 2 extra large litter boxes and 2 big beds 🛏️. 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. Don't forget about plenty of Rugs. My Son Kirby 🐰 is a Flemish Giant, Free Roamer and Eating Chewing Machine, 15 lbs of Pure Fun. He's the Boss of the House 🏡. He's Chewed up 3 Dog beds, so I bought 2 Tent 🎪 Beds. He Loves them. Great for digging in and great Hideaways. Kirby 🐰 will take Hay out of his litter boxes and put it on the rugs . He Loves to make a Big Time Mess. Sometimes when he jumps in his litter boxes, he will drop his poop on the rug. That's Normal Bunny Behavior. Yes I use those metal clamps on his litter boxes. Bunny's 🐇 like to dig in the litter box. Please Watch My Son Kirby 🐇 on RU-vid over 30 Videos. You will see 👀 why. A 74 year old Crazy Bunny Father.✨🤗💕💘💞👍🍌🥕🥬🐰
Fortunately for me my current rabbit Snickers and my previous boy Benjamin came to me knowing what to do. When i got Snickers from the man who was looking to re-home him he had a spot in his hutch that he liked to use.(his hutch was totally filled with litter, no separate space. I changed that in the first week. When i removed the wall that divided his hutch and put in a litter box he just started using the box where his litter was. His hutch is his main space, but does get run around time every day...and he's very determined to get into spaces i dont want him to be in. FYI -- The dollar tree has nice litter boxes, cheap and easy to clean.
Another great video! How's the Marigold Bedding? I love the lavender and Rose Bedding! I just adopted a young rabbit this past week and I have been watching your older videos on young rabbits. I have four adult rabbits.
Plz pin!!! I love you so much Morgan and CB!!! Idk what I would do without you in my life! I understand that married life can take up time but if you have like at least 6 mins could you do a behind the bun? I love it! Other wise I completely understand!!! Love you and CB!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼😭💗🥹
My daughter (7) and I love watching your videos together as we prepare to one day have a bunny (have to move first). She wants to ask you, "What do you do when there is a fire in your house and you have a bunny."
Hi Morgan i have a question for you. I have a bunny ( the love of my life ) she stays in a hutch outside and a big cage inside and ( she is mostly inside ) i know you don't use cages but everyday i bring her inside my room so she can have a run around she stays in there for 2-3 hours. Is this ok?
Sadly…I can’t setup my litter box like that. My rabbit Loki, destroys puppy pee pads. I attempted to set her litter box up like that and she jumped right then tore the puppy pee pads in half…
Thank you. My new bun, who was a re-home to me, does the same thing. He even ripped apart the pee pad i had to protect my floor and furniture from my cats' bad behavior. My beloved Benjamin did the same thing.
@@lyndagoldman5928 my girl is 6 years old, I’ve tried using puppy pee pads multiple times, each time she destroyed the pad. I use a large high walled cat litter box and use pine litter as it’s the cheapest. I use enough litter to completely cover the bottom plus a little more. Add enough hay for a few days (replenish once all gone) and she’s good. I throughly clean the litter boxes once a week.
@Foxylovesfluffys I get Snickers litter box from the Dollar Tree. Cheap and easy to clean. About two thirds of the box has a small layer of pine litter and hay enough for the day. But he's not a big hay eater. I change the box each day. I'm very curious about this new litter Cinnabun has introduced us to.
@sincerelycinnabun. I’m trying to get my rabbit to potty train and have her literbox and pee pads and she hasn’t been using it but what I’m doing wrong is that every time I seey rabbit jasmine pee and poop I would just vacuum it and throw it away and also too I don’t have flooring just carpet on my apartment complex and don’t quite have the space for an exercise pen. So what do u recommend I should use instead to get my bunny to start using the literbox from now on and is it really necessary to buy bedding as well too?! And what’s the cheapest bedding I could get too because I’m trying to be on a budget?!
In my country (the Netherlands) we don't have the paper badding you show in this video. Would it be possible to make it myself somehow? What to think about?
Thanks so much! But my dad won’t let me free roam my rabbit what do I do to potty train her better than I am now?she isn’t using the potty pad I set up for her (I even put poop over there)please help
My new bunny Muffin has been having some accidents, I just got him yesterday, and I’ve already watched this video but I wanted to rewatch it cuz I wasn’t really sure what I was doing wrong, so my Bun-dle of joy dose live in a big 2 story cage (not one of the thin ones a bigger one) and will graduate to free roaming in my bedroom once fully litter trained, but the problem is, it’s just not clicking with him- he is a very skittish boy so it’s impossible to get near him, especially because we haven’t bonded yet, in his cage there are mats placed down and they’re not exactly water proof, they’re more of just huge pee pads, so the problem is the mats absorb the pee immediately, so there is no time for me to wipe it up and place it in the litter box, so I’m not exactly sure how to do this, cuz I want nothing more then for him to be able to free roam, but I can’t till he’s trained, so if anyone has any tips I’d love to hear them!! 👇
Hi! Love the video. In the video you said you'd put a link on bunnies who have stopped using a litter box. My Moxie has started peeing anywhere she feels like it. Nothing has changed to make her mad. We haven't moved anything around to make her want to mark her spots. She just randomly pees where ever she wants to. I put her in the x-pen for a while, but that really made her mad. I had her checked out by a vet and she's fine. So I wanted to watch that other video of yours and I can't find it. HELP please! I'm at my wits end. Thanks so much
Hi there! Wondering if you could do a video on curtailing nibbling behaviors? My little bun has been after the baseboards and doors, wooden gate dividers and it's been so difficult trying to find ways to discourage this. I've tried a diluted lavender spray for those areas, giving him lots of acceptable chew toys or snacks. I hesitate to use a vinegar spray because I have to live here too and smell that. :/ I just don't know what to do. I fully believe in free roam animals but I don't own my place. Even if I did, it's still not a desirable situation. He gets a lot of love and attention. Maybe it's boredom? Please help?? 🙏🏼
I’ve been trying to potty train my bunny and I’ve been changing his liter box to the spot where he uses the most and he refuses to use the liter box and goes somewhere else 🥲🥲
definitely an American rabbit, Dutch, or Rex. Probably not a lop because they are very prone to ear infections and other problems because of the way they were breeded. Long haired rabbits may be harder to care for grooming wise.
The whole day yesterday I was waiting and waiting for Cinnabun Sunday!! I finally got my bunny on Friday. She is an 8 month old lion head. She is very well potty trained! You helped me prepare for her!
AWW CONGRATS! Lion heads are adorable! I have a two year old Holland loop and I have had him for 1 month now! Welcome to the journey of bunny hood!✨🫶🏻💗
I think potty training a bunny can be really easy, it just takes patience and consistency. I love the idea of floral bedding I think I would like to try the Merigold! It’s always so fun to see cute Cinnabun! ❤
I am looking to get the same bread of bunny and I have added everything you recommended to my Amazon cart so I really hope I win the giveaway for the bedding!!!!!
Had someone sit on my bed yesterday and my free roaming bunny Biscoff didn’t recognise the scent so marked his territory… I completely forgot to the neutralise the scent with vinegar water🤦♀️🤦♀️
I completely get the hay in or above the litter box but how do you handle the pellets. If rabbits typically poop while they eat and the pellets are in a dish somewhere in the enclosure then how do you get him to go back into the box. Just brought an 8 week old home yesterday so im just curious.
I absolutely Love Small Pet Selecys Paper bedding I use their Premium paper Pellet bedding and their white Fluffy paper bedding and along with their Lavendar Bedding and I plan on getting their Rose Paper bedding as well it's the absolute best paper bedding and only brand of paper bedding I'll use as all others I've tried are way to dusty and flair up my many skin conditions allergies and asthma It's the only paper bedding I use this video was absolutely amazing I'd love to win some floral paper bedding from Small Pet Select thank you so much for all your amazing videos
Wish would could have a cover for his litter box. We did and he shut down. We had the cover for a few days to make sure. Then when we took it away he went back to normal. Weird.
