I'm from the east coast of Canada and I did fly in fly out jobs in western Canada doing industrial concrete formwork. I took a job at home in Nova Scotia doing ICF ( which doesn't exist in industrial work ) and all I could think was " There is no way this isn't going to blow out " ! I remember when they poured 8 ' walls in two passes and being amazed that the concrete didn't destroy the ICF. It is an amazing invention for sure. The real downfall in my opinion is that it's really difficult to get an ICF wall dead straight. It's impossible in most cases.

Thanks Ron! Seems like a 6” wall would not require 44 yards of concrete. From the video it looks more like 8” to me???

At least he showed up for work! One question if you don't mind; how tall can ICF walls go without having a floor or roof structure? For instance can you pour a 16' tall wall and then put regular rafters on the top of it without pillars or buttresses along the length?

Hi Bondo. Been following you for a while inspired me to take on my home addition full basement add on. Using FOX 8". I'm in Wisconsin it's going to be chilly this Wednesday. I've been told to order a 5.5" slump and add super P or HRWR whatever the plant has. What are your thoughts? Will the Super P make the mix too runny and increase hydrostatic pressure? Can I have them add just a little to increase flow ability? Just under 8' in 3 lifts. I ordered pea gravel 3500 psi. Thanks for your time and love the content.

Hi Bondo why do you have some areas on the top of the I F where the nipples on the icf were left in amd covered with concrete and other areas that were flat without nipples? What’s the difference. ?

Is pumping the concrete into the forms a critical step or is it your preference ?

Can you lean the wall to the outside with the bracing instead of the inside? I want to put the ICF over a house slab on grade.

Hi Bondo! i have my first ICF pour coming up this Saturday. I have about 375 linier feet of walls at 10' tall 8" core. what truck spacing do you put between your trucks? I have about 90 yards to pour and I'm worried about the time to make it all the way around especially if I do 3 lifts. Thanks for your input Bondo I've learned so much from your videos!

Ron, other ICF installers are opposed to vibrating as they claim it bows the walls and that makes hanging sheetrock difficult for the sheetrock guys. Any feedback from sheet rockers?

Have you used the Zont bracing ? Which supports do you use ?
