First - core strengt plays a little to no role in the front lever. If you hold your legs straight off the ground without help, the core strength is already there. It all comes down to the lats and shoulders. Second - the progression with one leg in one leg out is literally useless, never use it, just progress further from the full tuck to advanced tuck, etc. Third - add exercises that mimic the muscle movement, front lever raises with pause at the top are the best to mention. Those are my tips from 11secs max full front lever hold. I can't do full dragon flag or back lever because I never really tried, but they really don't play any role in learning the front lever. Have fun on the front lever journey.
What?? Core plays a huge role in the front lever, lower back en lower abs are very important, especially if you have long legs and a short torso like me
Romans 5:8 tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died on our behalf to reconcile us to God and save us John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever .,believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life,. .
i dont recommend you to practice front lever with false grip. it might feel better and easier but there is a reason to that. you activate less pull strength and you might become better and hold fulls but you will lack a lot of strength in your muscles you deactivate while using false grip and it will prevent you progressing to higher limits and increase your holds. however its good to mix them but id do more regulars to strengthen and improve your front
@@vallenthorpe6495 think about how your arm all the way to your back works like a kinetic chain, assuming you use a false grip you’re not fully utilising your grip and then the lack of tension of hanging leads to your back working less thanks to the support of your wrists
@@knowntoache I can get just as much of a grip if not better when I’m using false grip. If you look at the top front lever athletes they almost always use false grip cause it makes pull ups and fl touch easier so it’s good to start using it early on.
Nice and keep up the grind. But a thing to keep in mind you don't need to have a very strong core to perform the full frontlever, so instead of half core half back then do more back and less core. Have a nice day :).

I wonder if you might have some success training those scapular pulls with a fixed or hollow body position… That way you’re also approaching the lever from the other position, and honestly it looks like you’re getting better engagement in that exercise than from above.

I got mine out of nowhere after a few months of progressing on weighted pull ups and literally 0 specific practice on the front lever. For my case, lat strength was much more important than core strength
I could suddenly do these and I have no idea why. I was doing barbell back squat focus 3 4 times a week and a few other exercises. Got to 5 reps 100kg then could do like a 10 second hold.

Dont think that core exercises are that important as you hit your core with regular working out anyway. Scapular positioning, tension and strong back is the way tho.

Just do variation of front pulls and hold , front pull up is pretty useless and warming up is not really usefull with cardio much intéressant in articulation work and muscle Light work
