Yes, I’ve been doing it for a while. I’m very ADHD and lose my train of thought very easily. I find having a prayer journal with prayers or intentions keeps me focused. I also have been praying scripture over my children so I write it down and read it out loud. So helpful and it feels more intentional.
I agree with Jenna -- sometimes we just need to "vomit" (phrase coined by Sonja Corbitt -- Pray like Mary) -- sometimes we need to get all the stuff so we can listen
