Ellen, one thing I appreciate from watching your videos is that you show why people should be intentional in getting what they want from life. In all your videos since I started watching a few weeks ago after randomly coming across your London flat tour, you always show that we set the tone for our environment around us and I love that especially as someone who has spent so much of life just waiting for things to happen and going with the flow.

Loving your festive vlogs so far 🎄 It's also mine and my partner's first Christmas in our home and I'm so excited to enjoy all the Christmas-y things. Unfortunately living in Australia we don't get that extra cosy wintery Christmas, but that is on the bucket list for one day⛄❄

Love the rug!! And the lamps are so cozy! Sometimes in a smaller space you need less visual stimulus. I bet with some artwork it will all come together!

Great video. It's great seeing all the bits & pieces that you're getting for the house - the rug looks absolutely perfect. I think you need to live in a space for a while before you know what you want to add so give the bedroom some time. The White Company is finally opening a store in Belfast next week & I am so excited - I have a list!! Lx

Thanks for sharing your prep. This motivates me to start planning for Christmas too ! I went skating at both Hampton Court and Somerset House before. I personally like Hampton Court more since the light was just so beautiful. Somerset House is more central though so it was great for gathering with friends. We are doing Christmas pyjamas this year as a family, and going to see the Christmas light at the suspension bridge near my area, Elf on the shelf with the kids. Getting festive !

I agree. A little bit of color in some Art over the bed will liven it up. And maybe a matching blanket throw over the end of the bed that has some color too.

Hi Ellen, I love it that you let us see every addition you make to the house. I am almost as exciting as you. You didn't show the rug before but it is amazing. It goes indeed do well by the sofa and the table. Your bedroom is also gorgeous. It is all very country style. I would like a little bit more color in it. But that's me. Nice festive planning vlog. We always visit the National Trust properties at Christmas for some festive views. Also like you we like to do the tree with music on and something festive to snack on. Have a great week and enjoy the planning ❤

Hi Ellen love your new home and the river views are to die for 🩷 your new rug and lamp are gorgeous not so keen on your sunset lamp next to it takes the edge of the lamp (I get the sunset lamp is useful to you) but kind of a shame as lamp is gorgeous! And you asked what did we think room needed so thought panelling would look fab behind your headboard of your bed! Then bring in some art and maybe a bit of greenery (faux) Christmas stems with berries! Enjoy your home must be so exciting for you both to have your first Christmas 🎄 in your new home 🏡 xx

Love all those ideas!! I would love to do some panelling! I totally agree the sunset lamps are annoying, I’ll probably get rid of mine next spring when it’s easier to wake up early without it. Im going to have a hard time separating Cameron’s from his though 😂❤️

I looooove Kew gardens at Christmas!Christmas light shows everywhere now but Kew is the OG and is unbeatable! I'm looking forward to watch The Holiday with live orchestra, think gonna make see a Xmas film with live soundtrack a yearly tradition :) I like to do a weekend away to new place with new Christmas market and visiting Christmas grotto and Santa with my neice but I definitely appreciate it more than she will.

Did you ever think of maybe putting up picture moulding on your bedroom wall? They add such characteristics to walls, also pictures lites over pic frames 🖼 just give that designer look. Love your vids!!

Hi Ellen, your new lamps have a nice warm glow to them. For your bed, have you thought of hanging fabric the width of your bed from a rod on the wall behind your bed? It could be in the same natural wheat tones like your check pillowcases. Your new chest of drawers is so pretty, show it off by "romanticizing" your bedroom...find another home for the clothes hamper, the tech basket and the Dyson fan. Details, details I know as you have barely just moved in but your bedroom would be a much more restful , relaxing space without them:)))
