Nah. It really boils down to who makes the interview and his mood. When I went to the interview there was this official that was denying visas to EVERYONE. At the waiting room we were all nervous because everyone was praying this guy wouldn't be assigned to any of us. When it was my turn, it was such a relief it was with another official. The interview was pleasant, and I got my visa got granted, but when I left and said goodbye to a friend I made in the waiting area, he said the guy was still denying visas left and right. I wished him good luck.

I was denied under214b and I think the the political issues are more important than interview. As a cancer doctor who honestly told every thing to officer, I think just my nationality was her problem!

My F1 visa was denied on Wednesday. The visa officer asked me four questions: 1. What is my purpose for going to the US? 2. Who is my sponsor? 3. What do I do in my home country? 4. Have I ever travelled before? I truly answer all these questions with confidence, but I was still denied. My denier letter was on the canter before I was even interviewed because just after the denied my visa, he just took it from the canter with my passport and gave it to me. When I asked him why he refused me, he didn't answer me and quickly rushed off.

Dear sir, last 22nd November, I got denial for F1 visa application and I will have my visa interview again on 22nd December. I think the reason I got denial was when the VO asked me to show my transcript , I showed him my university’s transcript and he asked me why I got only 50 marks in 2 subjects. But I was so nervous and couldn’t give him a good reason. Last 2020, I attended to complete second year and first semester for chemical Engineering but now I have changed my major to Business Administration. The transcript that I showed the VO was for Chemical Engineering. And the thing that I want know is when I have my second visa interview if the VO ask me the same question “why you get only 50 marks in 2 subjects?” , what reason should I give my Visa Officer.

So I have a few questions: 1- If you have a Graduate Assistantship for 4 years of your PhD program, do you still need to provide a personal or sponsor's bank statement to show sufficient funds? 2- If you've made an entry for the US DV Lottery , can the visao officer see this on the system and will this consitute immigrant intent? 3 - If you've been denied a Canadian study permit, is there a way that the US visa officer can see this and will it also affect your F-1 visa application?

I was denied a Student Visa last year, and I rebooked another appointment but the appointment date available was for the following year which is June 2024. Well, the consular officers have a job to do. When you guys elect people in your country then do your elected people fulfill all promises or uphold the public oaths they take. I don’t think so. I think the consular officers should learn to be kind. Tourists want to travel. Students want to study. You should know that the USA is a great country and that should make you proud than suspicious that people want to visit your country for travel, work or education. Imagine being a consular officer at the Bangladesh or Afghanistan embassy (No offense intended to the nationals of these countries).

They looked at none of my documents he looked doubtful but I showed him my leave form that I will be returning to work upon returning .and then he was like ok approved.

Although I'm sure preparing for an interview definitely helps, I do not think you guys are being honest about how much weight the interview actually has in determining the applicant's success. A retired visa officer on an online forum said that more than 90% of the decisions are made just off the person's application. And this was my personal experience too. I prepared by watching a lot of your videos but little did I know that my circumstances meant I virtually had no chance to get a visa (my name was in an immigration application, even though since I had aged out my name was subsequently removed from the application). I also have relatives in the US. Being a young male I guess I should have known that these factors virtually made it impossible for me to get a visa, even though I had an urgent and legitimate need for travel (medical treatment).
