I keep thinking that more and more a glue down vinyl plank flooring is superior as far as having problems later on. I havent reached a decision yet as to which I will use. Glued vs non glued VPFlooring.
@@TheHandyNeighbor Thanks so much. No matter what I do I think there may be areas of my new floor because of the swelling of joists etc. that will make it 1/4" off in a variety of places. I wonder what a professional would do in this case. Would you simply just go to glued vinyl plank then?
It is probably swollen OSB subfloor that you have to sand on the top. Not sure 100% I would have to take a look. Glue down is more for the concrete floors but you can install them on osb/plywood as well. You can try laminate flooring as well, it has better locks. Costco might have a good one.
Im doing a peel and stick vinyl in an RV, i cant use luan on top of the osb because the slides in the RV would catch. Gotta stay as low as possible. Im worried about the vinyl not adhering well to the osb. Do you recommend a sealant for the osb, or will it adhere fine?
@TheHandyNeighbor im sorry I don't understand 😔. Which glue do i let dry before placing the planks? The planks have an adhesive on them. I should let it dry BEFORE placing them??
